Peak DesignMobile Car Mount Vent Black

I’ve been using this product on my S2000 with great success. I’m a great supporter of Peak Design and have several of their other products. They all tend to be made from high quality materials and with an innovative design. This car vent mount is no different. I have used other vent mounts before but they tend not to be very stable and can end up falling out upon sharp acceleration or cornering. This is the not the case with the Peak Design item. It has an adjustable clip that can be extended in and out that attaches to the back of the vent blades to hold the mount securely in place. This is something I have not seen before. To use the mount you have to make sure you either have the Peak Design phone case or the universal adapter. The phone attaches solidly to the magnet and automatically centres itself. As you’d expect this is a quality, well built product using premium materials and you can tell by how it feels. The only negative I would say is that there should be some soft touch material on the back of the mount to stop it scuffing or marking your vent/dashboard. This hasn’t happened to me but I can see it may happen to others. This is an expensive item and won’t be for everyone but it’s a cut above most other products on the market in terms of looks, design and functionality.
