This is a nice bar of soap. It doesn't take much for it to lather up well and quickly. The lavender sage scent is light and mild. My skin felt soft and smooth after my shower. After using it the first time, on a hot and sweaty day, I smelt good at the end of the day. I used it with other Lume products and I smelled good at the end of the day. It's expensive, but it lasts over a month. I like using it during the summer months.

I can’t say enough, it lives up to the hype! Great if you have sensitive skin, removes odor and leaves you feeling clean. Lathered very well.

I say use carefully because if you just hold this bar in your hand and go over your body it will disappear quickly. This is a very expensive bar of soap, in my opinion, so you would not want that. I have an odor on my body. It is a side effect of a combo of medications that I use. I use a wash cloth, soap it up then scrub my body with the soapy wash cloth. Using it this way helps the soap last longer. In terms of its efficacy, it is a 10! No body odor anywhere on the body for at least 24+ hours. Many days I do not even use an underarm deodorant. For me it is worth the cost. I did not find this bar of soap to be moisturizing. It is not drying either, just a cleansing soap.

I bought this soap because I had seen an ad about the benefits of the acidified nature. I can’t say I noticed anything different and the smell was not bad but also not good, it was an odd smell. I just wouldn’t buy it again because it was pricy for a bar of soap.

I have problematic skin most of my life. No matter what I used, my skin has always been somewhat sensitive and prone to flakiness. This soap changed my life. Just after using 3 days, I see the texture of my skin improved dramatically. There were only a very few products that worked. Most would need to contain some anti-microbial properties, like tea tree oil or salicylic acid to work for my skin. My skin hasn’t been looking this good for years. I’m so surprised that this was marketed for body odor but it actually helped my complexion due to the acidic property which renewed the skin surface. It’s moisturizing enough that I don’t need to apply anything afterwards since that could make things worse sometimes. Hands down this is one of the best things that ever happened! I can’t recommend this enough to sensitive, dry, and flaky skin. It’s pricey but works very well for me. Please don’t stop making this product, I’m a fan for life!

4/25/2024: First Use = very sudsy! I created a giant soap bubble about 6” in diameter between my arm and chest while rubbing the soap on my body. Great soap up experience. (I rub the bar directly on my wet skin.)I felt so clean after. Squeaky clean! The scent of “lavender safe” is only recognizable when you first hold the bar up to your nose. I could not smell it during use in shower and I definitely can’t smell it on my skin.There is definitely no residue left on skin. I don’t know why anyone would think the bar would be moisturizing. It’s acidified. I think of what has acidic PHs like citrus fruits etc and those things are not used in moisturizing. So it makes sense to me that my arms are super dry after toweling off from using the acidified bar. I wouldn’t expect a bad with an acidic ph to moisturize and it doesn’t not.That’s the only down side so far. Is the dry arms and legs. But I feel more clean than usual. I’m a dr Bronner Castile bar used. I can see now how that is moisturizing but probably leaves A residue to be so.I’m not a smelly person at all but I’m having an issue with hives and I’m trying this bar to see if it helps by changing the PH of my skin surface. I like how clean I feel. I miss smelling my soap and I don’t like the dryness but I love how clean this feels!I’ll be back to comment if it helped with my acute body issue (hives).April 4 2024 update: Went to dermatologist she says this soap won’t have an impact on hives. She also told me Mandelic acid peels the skin (makes sense it’s an acid and acids exfoliate). I noticed skin peeling (sloughing off) under my boobs.More importantly, look at my photos. New bar is unused Dr Bronner’s 5oz, for size compare. (Lume bar before use is also 5oz). I took 11 showers. 11 days from first use to the photos and the bad is down to a sliver. 11 days!! All the soap did was dry out the skin on my arms and legs.I’m not saying this is a bad soap. I’m saying it’s not moisturizing and it’s drying and it simply does not last long. It was worn to a sliver in 11 days and I honestly take quick showers and I don’t soap up my back or my feet or legs. I do the torso, arms, pits and bits. I also store the bar up high away from water so it’s not disintegrating when not in use. I rub the bar right on my skin and my skin is not made of sandpaper grit lol. There is no abnormal use or extra washing happening. 11 quick showers, one a day, and it’s nearly gone.My recommendation - Do not buy the acidified bar - you’re wasting your money and drying out your skin. I’m done with this product.

Pleasant smell but way over priced. I won’t be purchasing again

For Body AND Face. I really like it. Love my Dove and the occasional body wash, but this is actually leaving my body feel clean and refreshed, with staying power. I have no idea if I actually smell. I am not worried about natural bodily aromas, but hey if I can keep some bacteria in check and continue to feel clean then why not?I really like that it is fine for use on face too. Says it can be used as a shampoo too, which I have yet to try. Would make for a great gym bar or travel bar-- less stuff to pack. Love that it takes care of things from top to bottom and beyond. Thumbs up!My doc and I were literally talking about this product (and other Lume stuff too) today. She loves it too.
