I was given a Jar Key back in 2008 from a family friend, didn’t have a computer then and had no idea where she bought it from. Recently good friends of mine were complaining about how difficult it was to open jars with their arthritic hands. I immediately went to Amazon and found Brix JarKeys. Ordered several packs to give to people as well as keeping an extra for myself!I told them that once they gently ‘popped’ the lid, they would be able to use just their fingers to easily remove it from the jar. They were astonished to find out that what I stated was exactly true. No more tapping with a hammer, running under cold water, using a rubber pad (that usually tears), finding someone put on rubber gloves to try and open the jar, using a pipe wrench, or putting it in a vise. It’s a ‘must have’ for everyone! It’s so easy, my friend with their dominant hand in a cast, was able to use it without much difficulty. This is definitely going to be a stocking stuffer come Christmas 2024!

So I had bought a jar of Kosher dill pickles and the vacuum seal was so strong that I couldn't get the lid to budge. I tried using my "brute strength" and that didn't work. Tried running cold water, then hot water over the lid. Nothing.Tried slapping the jar on the bottom to pop the vacuum seal, but that didn't work either.Finally thought to look on Amazon for something to help me get the lid off. There are a variety of items that I considered but then I saw this gadget and figured it was worth a try.This was the miracle tool I didn't know I was looking for. It took a second to seat the jar key on the lip of the lid, lift a smidgen, and the vacuum released and the lid could be removed like I'd been trying to until I got this tool. So glad I got this and future pickle jars will be at my mercy!

Every friend of mine will receive one from me over the next year. After turning 62, I started struggling with opening jars! This Brix Jar Key is like magic! You hook it under the edge of a jar, and like magic, the jar's vacuum seal is broken, and you can easily open the jar. It is small, a little over 5", and so lovely that my college-aged kids asked for one!I'm thinking stocking stuffer! The price is right, so I always keep a few on hand, and when I meet up with a friend, I surprise them with this gift and then wait for the text a few days later exclaiming how useful it is!

I’m so happy to have the discovered this tool. My Rheumatoid arthritis makes it difficult to open jars. With this, I can open everything. I love it so much, I bought two more to give away as gifts.

The Jarkey works easily and is very effective. I would like to see it made out of a stronger material but it just does what it what designed to do - over and over.

This jar popper works great! Anyone who has trouble breaking the seal on jars should purchase one of these. It breaks the seal easily so you can then open the jar without having to use force. It is also an excellent tool to have for anyone with arthritis.

These are easy to find in your gadget drawer, and work great...

So easy to use. Pops the vacuum & makes it easy to open. Don't have to get my hubby to arm wrestle with a jar anymore :)

I originally purchased one of these after breaking my wrist and not being able to get into jars - a simple tool but amazing - works perfectly. Then my father who has arthritis tried it and was really impressed - so he'll be getting one for Christmas as well. Definitely recommend!
