Amazing!!!I never ever leave reviews but I am so impressed with this kit.My 5 month old is a real wriggle bum. So I decided to do this while he was sleeping. I used luke warm water so it didn’t wake him up when I stuck his hand in. I was nervous about having to keep him still for potentially 6 minutes but it dried in around 3 mins and he even moved a tiny bit! Hardly any bubbles and easy to sort those out when you remove the cast before it’s cured. Still need to sand it. It was so easy to do and easy to remove the cast too. I haven’t cured it yet or painted but I have a fan on it while it dries so it doesn’t go mouldy. I plan on doing his foot next! Well worth the money.

This was for my sons art project and as its not the cheapest I told him he had one shot at this to make it work. It worked a treat , followed the instructions to the T and it turned out so well. We did watch a few utube videos just to be sure. It did take longer to dry but he completed this in the coldest room to enable more time to work with the mould first. My electric mixer had died so instead we used an old blender i use for mixing paint and it worked a treat. This kit is great value for money.Top tips - cooler room gives you more time to mix without it settingTap bucket to get rid of bubblesGive it plenty of time for the plaster to dryMake sure your comfortable first when putting your hands in the mould so that you stay as still as possible.

As far as casting kits go, this definitely does the job! The process is simple but it's important to prepare as the alginate does dry quickly. After mixing the alginate we submerged our clasped hands, waited approximately 10 minutes to be sure, then gently removed. After washing the cast with water we drained it, mixed the cast mix and filled it. Tapping the sides is really important to avoid bubbles. However our cast did have lots of bubbling on the back of my husbands hand. I have tried my best to remove these carefully with the wooden pick provided, a needle and sanding it.The kit is fantastic and it was really quite an emotional experience peeling back the set alginate to reveal our hands. The detail is incredible, as you can see in my pics, even fingerprint ridges! My engagement ring also looks wonderful.Take your time with the process and be patient. It's worth it!

Easy instructions, the bucket is a little on the smaller side to fit 2 hands in. Cast did turn out great though, I love how it looks, captures great amount of detail.

Absolutely perfect product! Used loads of these before but this one set slightly slower which made it easier to manoeuvre young hands, although they were a little wriggly it picked up every detail perfectly. The kids really had fun doing it! The size of the bucket is great, big enough for four hands to fit easily! Beautiful results!

A complete waste of money, time and effort. These kits don’t work they’re very poor quality and don’t come with everything you need I.e mixing bowls so you have to ruin your own.The most complicated process with so many steps, don’t waste your money

Omg this is absolutely brilliant!! I bought this to do a hand sculpting with my mum I can't believe just how good the finished sculpture is. It's so easy to do, Just read the instructions & do the test sculpture first so that you get an idea of the proving timings. Both Mum & I are so pleased with how it has come out especially for mum as it picked up all details of a cameo ring that she was wearing which was originally her mums. This is the perfect keepsake & I definitely think it's worthy of its 5/5 star rating. Give it a go you won't be dissapointed.

So this product gives you 2 of each packet of powders and does mention you may mess up on your first go. Which I did i.e the foot image. However second attempt went great but I wished they put a third alginate in then third time would have been a charm.I’m so disheartened with the foot cast, as this product isn’t cheap at all! But if your not new to casting project and know what your doing then it maybe worth the money.It be great if this company would sell the powders together separately to the kit because I’m very impressed with the detail it picked up.I’m currently looking for powders alone to try and re do the foot cast, but I’m struggling to find good quality and would rather not pay the price for a full kit as the tubs that comes with the kits you can reuse as many times.Oh and a tip if you’re doing baby cast, try and do it whilst they are asleep.I hope this helps.
