These did well as a last resort for saving a nicely broken pair of Keen work/hiking shoes with a steel toe that I’ve been wearing for about two years now that had the commonly worn area at the very back of the shoe where your foot goes in and we’re the back part of your foot would rest in the shoe. Started feeling a little discomfort in these awesome shoes, did a quick search here on Amazon and found these guys in these have given my favorite work shoes in a lease on life! I will probably get another year or two out of them as the rest of the shoe is holding up nicely it was just the back heel part that was worn out. When you first put them in and try your shoes on, they are going to feel a little obtrusive and irritating, definitely because you’re not used to that thing being in your shoe. A couple of days later and these have softened nicely while still doing what they are intended to do and I don’t even notice them. The adhesive on these is extremely powerful, take your time and put these in exactly where you like them and rest assured they are not going to move. I think I paid four dollars for two pairs of these, these saved and prolonged the use of a $250 pair of well loved, well worn high-quality work shoes.

Helps a little

These are life savers! I kept them in my luggage for trips if something happens with my walking shoes, they are very easy to install, great adhesive quality and fit pretty much anything. My work shoes ended up piercing through the back somehow and digging into my heel but these covered it right up and actually kept my heel from rubbing with how they had extra room back there.

I bought this to get a few more months out of some pricy cross trainers that were in great shape except for the heel linings. They worked perfectly, and I'll definitely order them again next time I'm on a similar situation.

I agree with some of the other reviews, that it can be difficult not to push the back of the cushion off when you put a boot on. For the boot that was giving me trouble, I just decided not to adhere the back cushion, at all. I kept the paper on that half of the cushion, so it's stuck under my heel, but not behind it. This ensures the back of the cushion won't unstick, and then restick in an awkward position. These barely work, but because they do work, they're wonderful!
