This is so good I wish it my first deck
So I have a disgusting number of decks. I've been reading for 20+ years and I love new and interesting decks. This is the first deck I got that almost got me angry with how good it is. How on point. How design was used to evoke the card meaning, every bit of the theming painfully on point. I loved The Pulp Tarot but I'm a horror girlie and so I jumped to grab this and see and I cannot contain my praise. This deck is masterful. It is beautiful. It is fun. It is easy to read both through amazing visuals and the use of extra text to help prompt in a way that doesn't even remotely disturb the vibe of reading from the card images themselves. And the fake movie studio and horror titles? /Chef's kiss. I love this deck. I *ran* to review this deck because it made me so excited and I immediately pinged every tarot friend I have to grab this deck.If this is your vibe, buy it. Don't dither. Don't pause. Do it.Please, Mr. Alcott, do a fantasy media deck next. Or heck, whatever crosses your mind since I have full faith it will be amazing. I will be there for it. A+ all the way. Also? I appreciate sturdy box in a reasonable size with magnetic closures. It's the little quality of life things that really make it a joy.

The deck will withstand the test of time no doubt
I started reading tarot cards 6 years ago with the RWS deck. I dabbled a little bit in Thoth and Hermetic decks as well, both also amazing. The Horror Tarot though is something else entirely that is absolutely amazing. If you’re a beginner it’s very, very easy to read. The illustrations are so good, and there’s a lot open for interpretation. The booklet that comes with the deck is hilarious, creative, and insightful. The entire deck is an experience. It has elements of pop culture, fantasy, and horror. Some of the cards are so dark you can’t help but burst into laughter. Really cannot recommend this deck enough. You will have a great time playing Horror Tarot. An easy 5/5.

Fantastic collector's deck
Pros:- A wide variety of good quality horror-related images from several sub-genres makes the deck visually appealing.- Key words are cleverly included to flesh out the cards and add context for newer readers.- The cards feel sturdy with a slick finish that lets them shuffle very well.-The box is sturdy and well put together.Potential Cons:- Not all the imagery immediately ties back to its original RWS card, making some cards a little bit harder to intuit than others.- Despite feeling sturdy, the cards already started bending after just a few shuffles.- The guidebook spends time giving a summary of the "movie" for each poster instead of giving clear cut explanations, making it not very new reader friendly. This is largely mitigated by the inclusion of key words on the cards, but the guide is still not the best guidebook for beginners.Personal experience:As a horror afficionado and a tarot reader of middling experience, I love this deck. Very talkative & direct with it's answers. Would recommend to readers that already have at least some knowledge of tarot.

Another brilliant deck from Todd Alcott
I also own Todd's 'The Pulp Tarot' and it was the first tarot deck I chose to buy when getting back into card reading after a few decades. The Horror Tarot is funny, insightful, cheeky and reads well. Perfect for this time of year (Halloween time). Wish some of the writing was a bit bigger font, but maybe thats just me getting old haha. Also, I would pay good money to see this on a linen card stock one day. That said, I love his decks and will buy every last one. You should too!

Another great tarot from Todd Alcott
I've been a fan of Todd Alcott's decks since his first Kickstarter release (The Pulp Tarot) and was very excited to see he'd come out with another, and horror themed, no less!PROS:- Cool, retro art- Interesting "comic book" type covers- Hard box to protect cards- Guidebook with descriptions instead of key wordsCONS:- Paper quality could be better, but it's certainly not terrible- Cards might be hard to identify at first glance as they say the number of the card (i.e. 8 of Swords) as an "issue number" on the corner of the card, which fits perfectly with the aesthetic, but can make it harder to read quickly

Annoying angles like used
The deck is beautiful and I love it , but it wasn’t well packed- cards have angles that I can’t straight up perfectly (as should be in new deck). I also purchased the Pulp tarot and the cards inside were packed with nylon from what I remember and that one wasn’t. Thought it might be used , dissapointing

Another amazing deck!
As a horror fan, the artwork and theme of this deck is perfect. As a tarot reader the messages are very accurate and the physical cards and shuffling is great. The other deck they make the Pulp Tarot is another one of my favorite decks and this fits along nicely with it.

A fun deck!
As a horror movie fan and a nearly lifelong tarot card reader, I truly enjoyed this merging of the two worlds. Most of the cards are quite intuitive and even have some keywords on them for ease of reading. The art is nice and I love the callbacks to so many films that I'm familiar with.
