Great replacement for 55 inch TV
Having never found a good cabinet solution for the TV, We wanted to get “the big black box” out of the living room. The largest uninterrupted wall we had was 60 inches - the smallest spec’d size this projector was capable of. I thought I’d order it on a trial basis. As a family, Here are our thoughts after a month of usage. The Amazon packaging was poor. The factory box was placed in a much larger Amazon box with no padding - allowing the factory box to slide back and forth. Fortunately no damage to unit. There is a setup routine that adjusts the image to your wall - squaring it up and removing distortion from wall unevenness. It was easy to follow and worked very well. It utilizes a phone app. That is easy to install and works wonders. Very slick.Epson recommends a special screen. However, they don’t make a 60 inch screen, so we opted to use our wall. The wall is a dark tan. I wasn’t sure what the picture quality would be. 1) The picture was sufficiently bright to view on a snowy day and no shades drawn.2) At night the picture rivaled the TV - but much larger.3) The common complaint of projected systems is a lack of true black. We have not had any issue with this. The pictures are color accurate and look very well.Others have complained about fan noise on this unit. It varies quite a bit. I’d say 95% of the time it’s unnoticeable. If the unit is projecting a largely white image the fan spins up. Something we can live with but something you’ll have to try for yourself. As mentioned elsewhere, the unit doesn’t support the Netflix app. You’ll need a fire stick, Roku, Apple TV, or receiver to supply that.I wasn’t expecting much for audio. However, I’ve been pleasantly surprised. This, like the projection system, needed a lot of tweaking. There isn’t a simple bass /treble setting, but there is a loudness and a separate bass boost. We found having both of these off was necessary. Certainly the audio beats a normal TV. It is also compatible with Spotify. Some have complained about picture quality - You definitely need to go through the setup routine. If you’re still not getting a good picture you may have a defective unit - note my comment about the poor Amazon packaging. That’s not Epson’s fault.Overall we couldn’t be happier with our projector. Here’s to hoping you have as good an experience as we’ve had. For us, this unit’s a keeper.

Good brightness
The projector is a bit large but not to heavy. It does create a bit of fan noise, but it's only noticeable when the room is quit (as long as you start playing something, you don't notice it any more).Picture is watchable even in broad daylight, without a screen.Adding a screen (I use a NothingProjector Frenzel) add intensity to the blacks and makes the colors a lot more vivid.

Chrome-Cast doesn't work well
The projector works well and is easy to set up and use. There is plenty of brightness and the picture is clear. The only negative is trying to project a video from the computer using chrome cast has not worked well with huge lag times. I ended up buying a wireless HDMI transmitter and receiver to handle the wireless to project from my computer.

Not worth the price.
Ok where to start. The biggest dislike about it i have is that it doesn't support netflix app and requires a 3rd part casting device. Second issue i noticed is that it has some blips while projecting showing distortion.
