So I didn’t think that it could get better than the vacuum pen I have, but it alerts my dog to the fact that I’m paying attention to something other than him and while I still think it’s a great pen, since I quickly went from knowing nothing about Diamond painting to becoming an enthusiast and actually understanding the function of the clay, etc I wanted to give it a try. I got it in purple and I love it. I feel like I prefer tools that are heavier in my hand for balance and accuracy and this fulfills that. Most of all, I love that rather than poking at wax, it comes from the inside of the pen. That part, admittedly takes a little practice to get used to because the very slightest push to move the top is all you need. Any more than very slight movement and you will end up extruding too much of the clay. It’s very easy to use once you are used to it. A little goes a long way and you’ll be surprised and how slight the movement is to get just enough. It doesn’t come in a variety of colors, it eliminates the step of having to push your tool into the clay, which is very convenient. I have no problem with the wax that it comes with, but to refill it, if you have a favorite brand, it shows you how to roll it up to use any clay that you prefer. The size is comparable to the vacuum pen as well as the weight. I find it comfortable to use and the barrel is as thick as a quality pen. For me, it’s a good fit. I love that the other end works as a tool to push your gems into line and make it look so much better. Very happy with this purchase although I do love my vacuum pen and I will no doubt use both. It’s great to have a portable compact portion to bring projects on the go and not require outlets. Well worth the cost.

I received this pen a few days ago and have loved using it. I put in some wax and away I went with my diamond painting. It's been a great tool to use compared to the cheap pens that come with most kits. This pen is all metal so it is heavier but that does not bother me, I like having some weight to it. The diameter of the pen makes it easy to use without your fingers cramping all the time. You can use it with or without the provided cushion. The value for the money is great I feel. This pen makes the diamond painting wiz right by with a very small twist you have more wax ready for use quickly! highly recommend getting this pen, it's a game changer!

I came across this as I was midway my first diamond painting and I’m so glad I decided to buy. I get cramps and issues with my hands easily this helped so much. Immediately could tell when I opened the packaging it was made with great quality! I think the twist up feature is really neat! The end helps you straighten your drills. Can’t think of a more straightforward but nifty tool! It’s definitely worth the buy even if it seems like it may not be “needed”. Will not regret it!

So it's kinda hard to put wax in but rarely have to refill. It's pretty hard to get right amount of wax out but if you just get rid of the tiny bit of excess it works really well. Much less aggravating than the little cheap ones that come with diamond art. Would buy again but does have some tiny things I wish were different. Better than vacuum ones and much better than cheap ones so favorite so far

This pen does exactly what the description says it does. Came with plenty of wax to get started and a bonus grip cushion if you don’t like the feel of the metal barrel. Very happy with the quality for the price.

I've only been doing diamond painting a few months using the thin pen that comes with just about anything you order.While the pen works fine, it got tiresome to have to use the small pad of wax provided. And since I ended up having si many of those small pens, I didn't mind usind them to straighten up lines, move drills around, etc.Finally decided to try the refillable pen. I LOVE IT! Yes, it is bulkier and heavier and takes a moment to get used to.I like being able to simply turn the top end JUST A SMIDGEN to push wax down. The pen comes pre-loaded and with a ouple refills as well as regular kit wax. I have read that you can use the wax provided in the kits with this as well.What I really like is the strong metal straightener that is on the top end. Much nicer than the plastic straighteners usually provided.The only thing you need to be careful on is how ez it is to push out too much wax. A tiny turn will do the job.5/26 It just dawned on me that I am STILL using the initial loaded wax in the first pen. Heavens, at this rate, I'll have enough wax to last...forever!

Finally a diamond painting pen that works great. Just a quick and easy twist and the wax is ready. Probably my favorite.
