NRS Healthcare Dressing Aid Stick Deluxe

Good price, sturdy but unfinished wood
I compared a lot of different dressing sticks this was one of the cheapest & from a brand I recognized, so I bought it.I am happy to report that the ends are fully rubber coated so there are no metal or pointy parts sticking out. The shape of the ends is very good, I use it both for dressing & to help lift up/down hangers in my wardrobe it works very well. The only negative is that although the wood feels sturdy it is unfinished, so feels dry & had some little bits of wood sticking up. Maybe the little bits of wood could be sandpapered off I'm not sure, I suppose treating the wood to make it more smooth & plesent to touch would have cost more money.I am crafty, so I had some spare tape that I wrapped around the full length of the handle, then added clear tape over the top & that worked well. On the plus side the stick looks more jazzy now & is easier to spot since I used brightly coloured tape. However I don't think you should have to DIY an object's before being able to use it, especially a disability aid.If you are doing research then you should add the tape/ wood covering into the total price of the item. Considering I saw some for £40 & this cost £10 it might still work out cheaper.

Useful tool after surgery
Looks useful and adaptable, but haven’t needed it yet

Made of a more solid material would be great.
I like this product as for me it serves a multi-functional purpose, ie not only for lifting clothes off the rails but also for opening the difficult for me to reach top window levers/latches/keys. It would help to have a sturdier/harder wood handle, possibly made of steel to fully support weight of coats when lifting at an angle.

Light and extremely useful multi purpose aid.
Nice and light. Extremely useful. But mine break easily, probably because they are in constant use. At this price that’s fine. But I think it would be better with a firmer attachment for the hooks. Recommended despite everything.

This is useful for removing my TED stockings
This works very well for helping me dress. I wear TED stockings and taking them off is a nightmare. An impossibility really. This tool helps a lot but the force used to remove my stockings is damaging the fitting of the hooks. Overall I don't know how long it will last but I'm still using it now.
