Good bulbs
I really only needed one for a lava lamp, but a 4 pack is better. They all came in good condition and work fine.

Perfect Fit for Lava Lamps and High-Heat Appliances
These 40W A15 bulbs are exactly what I needed for my 16.3” lava lamp. They fit the E26 medium base perfectly and give off a warm white glow that really enhances the lamp’s effect. What sets them apart is their high-temperature resistance—rated up to 300°F—which makes them ideal not just for lava lamps, but also for ovens, microwaves, refrigerators, and range hoods. I’ve used them in both my lava lamp and over-the-stove range hood, and they’ve performed flawlessly. No flickering, no early burnout—just consistent, reliable light. Great value for a 4-pack. If you need durable bulbs that can handle heat, these are a solid choice.

Good quality lava lamp replacement bulbs
Arrived quick and nicely packaged. Look exactly like the bulb that was in the lava lamp. Put the replacement bulb in and it works perfectly....on a lava lamp, the important thing is to have the right wattage. These are very good. Also, never leave your lava lamp on for more than 24hrs...best to give it a break, or the bulbs tend to burn out sooner

Works great for 16.3 Lava Lamps
I bought this to replace the bulb in my 16.3 lamp. Photo shows this lamp with the new bulb after it has been running a few hours. Don't know if this was a fluke, or if it's common for the 16.3 lamp bulb to burn out faster than the 17" despite it being the same type bulb? Anyway, I have several Lava lamps. The others will burn out eventually, and I still have 3 bulbs waiting for that situation. This bulb will work for the 16.3 or the 17 lamps only. I received 4 bulbs in a box with bubble wrap on each bulb. This for the same price as 2 of the official brand of bulb...and only then if I had purchased it from a certain mall shop (or their website) that carries these lamps. The name brand bulbs cost way more than that on Amazon. I can't really assess longevity at this point...but then again, the official brand bulb that actually came new in this lamp only lasted a few months...so this bulb seems to work just the same as the official bulbs for half the price (or a fraction of the price depending on where you might source official bulbs lol). For whatever reason, I will say one final note: this is unrelated to the bulb, but it's something I see constantly in lava lamp related reviews...if the bulb is working but your lamp isn't flowing, the coil is the issue! Theres a coil in the bottom that acts like a heating element. It the lamp is on an uneven surface or it gets jostled while it's still liquid, the coil will shift. Then the lamp doesn't work any more. To fix it you need to turn the bulb on for a while, maybe an hour, then gently sway the globe, using a pot holder to protect you hand. Gently, not shaking it, which will possibly forever ruin the lamp. The goal is to get the coil to sink down and rest flush with the bottom of the globe. Then the lamp will almost immediately come back to life. This seems like more of an issue with newer lamps. Oh well. Hope this helps someone.
