Better Than AIO – Cool, Quiet, and Built to Last
Running the Dark Rock Pro 5 paired with an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K. After nearly 10 years on AIOs—cycling through 3–4 units due to pump failures or leaks—I decided to switch back to air cooling, and I’m glad I did. This cooler outperforms my previous 240mm AIO in every way: lower temps, quieter operation, and far less hassle. With a minor undervolt, temps stay under 78°C during stress testing and idle around 38°C, evenly across all cores. Under normal use and gaming sessions, it doesn’t break 60°C. If a fan ever fails, it’s a quick swap—not a full teardown like with an AIO.Build quality is excellent, and it looks great in the case. Installation was smooth, and it fits perfectly on LGA1851. If you want reliable, top-tier air cooling with better thermals and long-term peace of mind, this is the one to get.

Lives up to its name! 100% will buy again for next PC build.
Grabbed this from from PC Builder when I was helping one of my kids build a gaming rig. It has a lot of mass, but that's a good thing when it comes to keeping your CPU cool.I really like the fact that it has a switch on it for selecting between quiet mode or a high performance mode. Since he's not gotten into over clocking or under/over voltage customization, we left it at quiet mode, and yeah, you can't even hear it running while keeping the CPU at around 150°.Installation was super easy, and it has mounting hardware for both AMD and Intel based boards. 100% would buy again.

Excellent Cooing Improved Performance of an i9 Gen14 CPU
This large cooler fit an ibuypower gaming case perfectly-enough clearance for RAM etc. It was an easy install as well. The system became SILENT over the stock cooling. The perforance went WAY UP with no throttling getting in the way. This cooler provides the cooling FAST and lets this i9 really scream and stay screaming. The fans supplies are a high volume silent design as is this overall cooling solution. Worth the $ just in terms of the satisfication with the computer performace over the stock cooler. I've have used t of the different aftermaket brands, most are excellent, and this one really shines!

Good
Very good performance. it fit good in my dual chamber atx case. It keeps my CPU at 29- 32 degrees on idle. and of course it's very quiet.I have a i9- 12900kf. For the heaviest games and anything i can throw at it; it wont go over 50-60 degrees. Now that being said. if your going to do rendering with a CPU like the one i have, this cooler will just barely be enough. it will keep the cpu at 97 degrees at absolute full workload which is insane and i would never need it's full power like that just for gaming. But if your doing heavy rendering, this, by itself may be cutting it close as my cpu did thermal throttle briefly a few times in a cinebench test. the end score was still excellent within 10% of perfect max performance.Perhaps changing to more powerful fans might help but im unsure if the middle 140mm fan can be swapped out. You could definitely change that 120mm fan out no problem.by the way the cooler fits with the ram sticks perfectly and if your ram is a little bit taller it will still work because you can move the 120mm fan up a little bit to make more room for the ram.All and any gaming this will keep your even very hot cpu very cool. but for crazy intensive cpu work related tasks like rendering that uses very 100% of the cpu this one will just barely cut it.Very good product and for gaming its perfect.

Better than expected!
Super impressed with the performance of this cooler. My 5800x was hitting 90c while gaming with my old cooler. Now it doesnt get over 75c! 31c at idle. Easy to install as well just make sure your case is big enough. She's massive!

Silent and Elegant
extremely quiet and cools pretty well. it’s very large but the sleek design makes up for it. the build quality of both the cooler and the fans are excellent.taking off one point for the price; theres a lot of solid competition on the market for much lower prices. you are paying a significant premium for the build quality and the silence during operation.

Monster cooler with a good look
Need something to cool your pc but don’t need the hassle of all the tubes and coolant? This is the one for you. This thing will cool almost all CPU. I tested it on a 7950x3d and a 7900x and it worked flawless every time. Functions as it should and does it silent. Looks great even though it’s big. Weight is lighter than you’d think and isn’t an issue if mounted properly. Also gives you the courage to carry it around when changed cases and such.

Another win for the Dark Rock lineup.
Loved my dark rock pro 4 for years. Excellent cooler. The dark rock pro 5 takes everything I liked about the 4, and leaves all of the bad. Installation of the 5 is significantly easier than previous entries. The performance is awesome as well.
