Attractive, work well with gimbal mounts...
(Update 2/16/2021--after two years of use one of these bulbs began flickering with an inner ring of LEDs turning on and off, not the entire bulb. Though the flicker was intermittent, these cost more and lasted a shorter time than any halogen spot I owned prior to buying these. For that reason I'm reducing the stars from 5 to 4.) These are great, powerful LED spots. They come on immediately. Bright. A nice, clean brightness. Not clinically white like the 4000k and 5000k bulbs, but not candlelight either. A good, halogen-esque look. I'm using them in a gimbal lens for a six-inch can light and they fit nicely. Some LED PAR30 bulbs are curved all the way to the lens, without a flat surface by the lens for the fixture's clip to attach to. These will work well in track lighting fixtures and gimbal mounts where a clip holds the bulb in place.

Great PAR bulbs
These are truly narrow beam angle, so when you compare these PAR against BR bulbs you can really tell the difference. The 2 pictures I'm sharing are PAR vs BR bulbs of the same power. The first is PAR, so you get a narrow beam and the floor looks brighter, you can see the top wall near the ceiling is almost dark and it's just because of the narrow beam angle. When someone stands under these lights they look more dramatic as there's more shadow under facial expressions. The second picture is BR, you see more light on the top wall, but the floor is dimmer. When someone stands under these lights, the full face has the same illumination because the light is spreaded everywhere. Just wanted to share that these PAR lights are amazing, and a quick comparison vs BR

Great bulbs - careful of mixing wattages
Great bulb but careful on mixing different wattages! I did an Amazon reorder on this bulb - previously it was 12W from a previous order and these new ones ordered in Dec 2024 were 8W. I replaced a dead 12w in my old dimmable track lighting track (built for incandescent lights) with 1 of these 8W and 3 existing 12w bulbs lead the 8w to not light up. Replacing all the bulbs with 8w fixed the issue.

Excellent product but "warm white" not as warm as expected
This is a perfect replacement for short neck par30 traditional light bulbs but you need to make sure that is what you are replacing. My first purchase of LED flood lights for the recessed fixtures in my home were long neck bulbs which required some movement of the fixture holder to make them fit properly. Be sure to check the actual bulbs you are replacing before purchasing new. The only thing that made this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the "warm white" spectrum is still brighter and closer to "daylight" or higher spectrum lighting than my traditional warm white light bulbs. Regardless, a very good light bulb!

Don't buy - 17% Failure Rate and short life
I can not recommend this product. I got the six pack and one of the six did not work. That's a 17% failure rate! I've purchased several of the 6 packs over the last few years. But I'm looking for another supplier now. Besides the failure rate they don't seem to have the hours of life they list. See picture of 3 bulbs that I replaced in the last 2 weeks! These came from a early 2020 batch and they are already going out. I like the price, the 40 degree spread and the color Temp. of these bulbs, but not the failure rate and short life of them.

Bulb color appears to be too blue when bulbs are dimmed
Our kitchen uses 8 PAR30S halogen bulbs that are not LEDs. When these bulbs began to burn out, we wanted to replace them with equivalent LED bulbs. However, we were uncertain about what LED color to buy, so we bought the Torchstar 3000K bulbs and the Torchstar 2700K bulbs. With respect to their physical size, both of these Torchstar bulbs are a perfect replacement for the standard PAR30S halogen bulbs. With respect to power consumption and lumen output, our halogen bulbs and Torchstar bulbs compare as follows: PAR30S halogen bulbs: 75W and 1050 lumens PAR30S Torchstar 3000K bulbs: 13W and 900 lumens PAR30S Torchstar 2700K bulbs: 11W and 840 lumens To our pleasant surprise, even though both Torchstar bulbs put out less lumens than our halogen bulbs, both Torchstar bulbs appeared to be about the same brightness as our halogen bulbs. We also found that, at full power, the Torchstar 2700K bulb color was a good match to the color of our PAR30S halogen bulbs. (The Torchstar 3000K bulbs appeared to be a little too blue). So far, no problems, but… When the Torchstar PAR30S bulbs are dimmed, they appear to emit an unpleasingly harsher, bluer light. (This may be due to changes in their emitted LED color spectrum, as a function of their operating power). At the very least, the Torchstar bulbs do not become noticeably redder as they are dimmed. In contrast, when the PAR30S halogen bulbs are dimmed, they appear to emit a pleasingly softer, redder light. In summary, we are quite pleased with the Torchstar bulbs when they are operating at full power. However, when they are dimmed, their color appears to be too harsh (too blue).

Very Happy with these
These short neck lights work great in my kitchen and den replacing the older halogens, and dim without flickering. I will order them soon for a third time. I have 6 in the den and 7 in the kitchen. They fit fine and do not extend pass the fitting. Very easy to screw in.
