Super cute and effective for the price
This little guy is cute and kicks off some heat in my sunroom. This lets me enjoy it in the Northeast through November. It is exactly what you paid for at this price. So do not expect a heavy wrought iron stove. It’s an adorable imitation that works very well and looks adorable for what I wanted.

Great heater
This is the second one we have purchased. The first one lasted 10+ yrs. Does a great job!

No heat
As others have mentioned, the company has really gone downhill and so have their products. I had another version of this from Duraflame and the heat output was so intense, it heated up my entire apartment and raised the thermostat almost immediately. Sadly, the flicker died and I tried to get the company to fix it. They were difficult to deal with, I tried for months, and I worried my lovely fireplace would become a fire hazard so I finally tossed it last year and purchased another one and sent it promptly back as there was little heat and went the rest of the winter without one. I thought I would try yet another model since winter is coming but alas. No real heat either. It is clear they are not the quality item they were. Nice for ambience, but I also wanted heat. Returning and done with the company. They clearly don’t care about making quality products anymore.

Don't be like me- read the manual.
It's 01/24/2024I ordered the heater on 12/12/2023 and it arrived within a week of that date but I don't recall precisely whenThis morning, the flame graphics stopped working and will not come back- the unit still heats from what I can tell, but one of its features is supposed to be the flame graphics and if that's not working- turns out that the bulb is quite easily replaceable. An overview of the product experience aside from that is as follows;1) The unit arrived and the only *intended* assembly required was to attach the legs; they slide into flanges at the base of the unit and then feature a single hole through which you insert a machine screw and tighten them in. The legs are pretty flimsy and wobbly, but I still have confidence that you're unlikely to knock the unit over on accidentI do have to note- one of the machine screws that keeps the case together had to be put in because it came out in shipping, *and* within a few weeks it backed itself out again in normal use. It's safe to assume this is not intended by the manufacturer. The needed screw driver is not included with the package supply your own.2) The flame graphics are robust and bright. I would personally categorize them as too bright at all settings, however that's a preference thing but you should keep in mind that i you have the heater on, the flames will be on unless the machine breaks. From what I can tell, it is not possible to "shut off" the flame graphics and have the unit running.3) The unit does put out enough heat on a low setting to heat up my 10x15 room within about 45 minutes and at high setting within about 20 or so.4) The controls are;A) A dial that controls the brightness of the flame, it will dim or brighten the flame, but, it cannot be used to dim the flame completely.B) A dial that controls a thermostat that the manual goes over in greater detail.C) A switch that turns the flames + "powers" the unit (this switch must always be in the ON position for the heat to be applied, the heat will not come on unless this switch is depressed). You can have the flames on without the heat, but you cannot have the heat without the flamesD) A second switch labeled "1000W" which I gather implies that it's pulling presumably up to1000 watts for the element assuming that the temp dial mentioned earlier is on its maximum setting. This is the "low" setting, hit this switch to get some heat from the unitE) A third switch labeled 1500W which again I assume draws up to 1500 watts for the element. If you press this switch without also pressing the second switch, the unit doesn't produce heat. All of the switches are pretty loud/clicky in their operation, though I must admit this is probably intentional for safety- if you are turning on something that gets hot you want to be aware that you're doing it.3) Another thing to note- is that Amazon asked that I rate the Remote function- this unit doesn't include a remote, no remote is mentioned in the product description but the box was carefully checked all the same and none is included.4) The unit is pretty loud when heating at max heat. I don't have a frame of reference to say that it's louder or more quiet than comparable models- but even at the lowest settings, it is pretty hard to ignore and at the highest settings- where you're pretty likely to use it- it's pretty annoying. The pitch of what I assume is a fan, is quite annoying. To my ear it sort of sounds as though they have one of those tower fans inside the unit blowing across the heating element(s) to push air out the vents.

Great heater
I bought one of these back when we owned our apartment, which was built in the 1950's so no thermostat and the heat was turned on later in the season than I'd have liked. Especially when we had little babies who were clearly cold we needed something that would heat quickly and safely (we used the oil filled electric radiators in their room overnight). When we bought our house we used this in our 15 by 15 family room bc it was an extension and always chillier than the rest of the house and we had to turn down the main heat for said kiddos so they'd sleep comfortably. This heater was perfect. My parents lost their heat so I just bought this for them. Their current space is a little large but I think this will take the chill out in their main sitting area. They are in Florida now so it's going to take a week before someone can come out! Their "cold snap" is going into the 60s over the days they are without heat. As former NYers they should be ashamed, lol. They borrowed ours once in NY when their heat went out in winter. In that case it really just kept them at home, able to layer up and this took the edge off. So don't expect miracles but it does a good job and the fireplace effect is a nice enough touch

Duraflame electric fireplace.
I’ve always purchased Duraflame fireplaces electric I find they last a long time and the flame ambience is delightful. However, being I am a woman and there’s nothing I cant do. I had a difficult time installing the four legs. I read the directions, followed them, but still could not get them the way they were supposed to be so after about an hour I finally figured it out how to snap it to the side to install the screws. I’m sure a man could’ve done it in two minutes. But overall, I am very pleased with it. I love this thermostat that’s adjustable and the adjustable flame to increase the brightness or decrease it. Thank you for a wonderful product.

lots of heat from small footprint
like the heat output and heat control, needs a remote to make it easier to use. but otherwise excellent

Efficient and beautiful flame
I bought one of the first ones out several years ago so it was a no brainer to get another when we needed one. Nice to look at, quiet, energy efficient. Love it
