Review: No corn syrup! Yay! - I have leaky gut, and at this point in its progression, I literally cannot stomach anything made with high fructose corn syrup. It makes me instantly and horribly sick--which is unfortunate, because as a kid I loved gummi bears and worms. Enter Black Forest. These gummies are made with tapioca syrup instead of hfcs, something I can actually digest. It doesn't affect the squishiness of them, unlike other all-natural gummi candies I have tried, which tend to more closely resemble fruit roll-ups than actual gummies. They are flavorful and juicy, and even though apple is an unusual and frankly weird choice for a gummi bear flavor, it works surprisingly well in combination with the rest, and on its own. I have a friend with Crohn's who has similar problems with hfcs-made gummi treats, and he says these don't bother him either, so they appear to be a good choice for people with a range of digestive issues. Now if they could just make candy corn and jelly babies the same way....

I've always loved Black Forest gummies, especially the gummy bears. The gummy bears are unmatched in texture. Not greasy or rubbery. Just the perfect gummy bears that I loved from the moment I discovered it. I used to be able to find this in stores, the one labeled organic, but a few months back couldn't find them in any of my usual stores. Thankfully I came to Amazon and was able to buy it again.
