I have 2 different brands of chafing dishes and these pans fit each one well. My dishes came with a full pan and one came with 2 half pans. I was having a party and wanted to have refills of food warming in the oven, then when the guests nearly emptied the one out out, I could just grab another and swap the pans (rather than scooping stuff.) Some things are simple to refill, but something like a baked ziti, lasagna, apple cobbler , etc. really needs its own pan.These were perfect for my needs. I don't have matching metal lids (though I could buy some) but foil works just as well and doesn't need washed or put somewhere during a busy party. The metal is sturdy and strong. I don't think they're meant for use on a stovetop burner, but are fine to bake in and to use with a steam chafing pan.I just hand wash mine, but they probably would do ok in a dishwasher.

Bought 2 and both lasted less than a month. The toggle switch broke on first unit. Second unit had a short that caused the outlet it was plugged into to melt. This product is a fire waiting to happen.

I think the product will be fine. It is missing the 2 handles that should have been with it.
