Having used menstrual cups for years, my anatomy seems to have changed and the one I had used for several years began to leak. I researched various alternatives and was impressed with what I was reading about the Pixie brand. I loved their money back guarantee and that they donate one cup/disc for every one that is bought. I also found their kits to be a great value for what you get compared to other brands. I took the quiz on their website and it suggested I may do well with the Pixie Disc, so I decided to give it a try. My first impression was that the products are designed and packaged beautifully and I appreciate the extra touches. The sterilizer is so helpful and easy to use and I wish I’d had it years ago. I’m glad I decided to buy the kit and not just the discs and would recommend it to anyone who’s on the fence. The instructions and videos were very helpful too. Unfortunately, the discs didn’t work for me. I found them to be messier than dealing with a cup and just wasn’t able to keep them from leaking. I also didn’t like that they would dump every time I went to the bathroom and need to be re-tucked behind my pelvic bone each time. I reached out to Pixie and they encouraged me to watch the videos (which they also sent me in a email), but they also offered to make it right if the discs just weren’t working for me. I tried one more time but ended up deciding to exchange them for the Pixie Cup two-pack. I received them within a few days and didn’t even need to return the discs. I really appreciated having one less thing to worry about and am hoping to find a friend who would like to try them. The Pixie Cups are working perfectly for me. I keep the smaller one in my purse and use it for the beginning and end of my period, and the large one for the middle of it. I have been wearing a panty liner the first couple of days just to be on the safe side, but I’ve hardly needed it. I’ve also not had any cramping with these cups, which is something I experienced at times with other brands. Pixie Cups are overall the best and most reliable cups I’ve used and I would highly recommend them for their quality, value, and customer service!

My teen daughter prefers the disc to tampons. She had a short learning curve and now doesn’t want to use anything else. The Pixie lube was really helpful for her. The steamer was easy to use and quick, plus it’s fairly compact which is nice for crowded cabinets. I like knowing it’s sanitized before the next use. Customer service is quick, kind and generous. Recommended 100%.

This was my first experience using menstrual discs, and I chose a set that included a medium and large disc along with a sterilizer. As a beginner, I found them surprisingly easy to get used to. The small pull tab made removal much less intimidating than I expected, and I became comfortable with insertion and removal fairly quickly. It does take some practice to learn how to position it correctly, and relaxation is important. Once inserted, it needs to sit properly under the pubic bone or it can leak, so there is definitely a learning curve. I do have a heavy flow, so I still use a panty liner or pad on heavier days or when I know I will not be able to empty it for several hours. On lighter days or once I became more confident, I was able to use it alone for stretches of about 4 to 5 hours safely. The larger disc holds up to longer wear, up to around 10 hours in my experience, depending on flow and activity. One important feature is that it can self-empty when using the restroom, which is helpful, but it does require awareness and hygiene. I always wash my hands before adjusting it to make sure it is repositioned correctly afterward. Sometimes I will slightly guide it using the pull tab to release a bit of flow and then reseat it. This step does take getting used to. The discs also have small side holes designed to prevent suction and make removal easier. However, those holes do require very thorough cleaning. I strongly recommend flushing them with water by covering the disc and squeezing so water pushes through, or using a small cleaning brush. I did find buildup in those holes early on, so proper cleaning is very important for hygiene. The included sterilizer works well, but it also requires proper care. It is important to use clean or filtered water, let the device fully air dry with the lid open after use, and avoid storing it while damp. I did experience mold in the sterilizer initially due to improper storage conditions, and it had to be replaced. Since then, I have been very careful about drying everything completely and storing it in a dry environment. It also gets very hot during use, so caution is needed when handling it. I have accidentally burned myself by forgetting it was running. Despite the learning curve and maintenance, this has been a life-changing product for me. I have significantly reduced my use of tampons and pads, and in combination with reusable period underwear, I feel much more secure and waste-free overall. Once you get comfortable with the process, it becomes very effective and cost-saving.

I bought this with the applicator (highly suggest). The cup works as expected. The string is a life saver and I’m thankful it’s there. They’re kind of hard to insert on their own. The large cup seems really large, but when it’s in place I can’t feel it. The steamer is definitely nice, but didn’t come with instructions. I kinda figured it out, but it would be nice to know how long to steam.

(Lengthy review) Its so perfect for me truly, I originally ordered the bundle with the medium and large because my flow is iffy ( recently started Birth Controls so my "period" is still adjusting as far as flow) and the medium was a bit too big as i started to feel squeamish with it inside. However i did contact Pixie via email (on the little card you get inside the package) explaining my concern and the customer service was immediate and great, they sent a small disc out (with more of the lubs and wipes) at no cost 🥹. The small fit like a glove i was able to sleep with it as well and I appreciate the auto dump feature the discs have too!! I am a first time user to this (ive been a pad user for years ive always hated tampons tried once and never again lol ) and this is a game changer for sure, i only use a smaller pad now "just in case" for leaks but its rarely any, maybe a very minuscule smear if that. It holds so well and right now my flow isnt as heavy since on birth control however it does hold absolutely well for hours! Lastly the steamer works perfectly fine and does a great job sanitizing, again 10/10 product!

The steamer is great and very handy- but these discs??? Absolutely horrible. I’ve used many a period disc in my time and never have I had as many issues as I do with these. I don’t know if it’s just the weird shape of the disc but for whatever reason it does not sit like it needs to at all and it leaks SO BADLY. Thankfully Amazon is giving me a refund, but this is your warning to just buy the steamer and don’t bother with the bundle!!!

This is my first time purchasing a steamer for reusable menstrual product sanitizing. I tried to use menstrual cups in the past but what actually held me back was the thought of having to boil it in my KITCHEN to sanitize it. This may not be an issue for others, but for me I couldn’t get past the thought of doing this in the same place where I prep food, so when I saw that a portable steamer option was available it actually made me want to try reusable products again! The steamer package comes with a ton of goodies including the two different sized discs and steamer. I also liked that the entire internal package came sealed which made me feel comfortable about dust etc not getting in during transport. The steamer is pretty easy to use although the instructions could be a little clearer. Discs are high quality, I am still figuring out which works best, disc or cup so I can’t comment on function. Overall I think this package is a great value especially if you are new to menstrual discs!

Do not cave into the hype, it did not work for me. The video says after you insert it, the disc is supposed to inflate into a bowl but every time I pulled it out, it came out crumpled together and constantly leaked through my pants. Absolutely not, for almost $40 I want a refund immediately. Mind you this is day 2-3 of me using this product to give it benefit of the doubt.

This company is just amazing, and that goes for both products and costumer service. I bought this kit as I found period cups uncomfortable after having children. The discs felt like great quality. I received a large and a medium in the kit, and after reaching out to Pixie about hoping the small would be a better fit, they sent it straight away in a lovely toiletry bag filled with extra packs of wipes and lube. The steamer is fantastic (how I wish I had that when I was using period cups!) but unfortunately the discs just didn't work for my anatomy. I contacted Pixie and asked if they could perhaps send me period pants instead, which turned up in the post just two days later. When recieving the period pants I was over the moon with how good they felt! Can't recommend this company enough, they are true to their word. The costumer service treated me with such kindness and understanding, and made sure I ended up with what would make me the most comfortable at that uncomfortable time of the month.

Having gone on a journey to feel comfortable, I landed on this menstrual cup. I was feeling uncomfortable with pads because of the mess they create outside my body which was uncomfortable and the environmental impact. I moved to tampons - easy to use but not as environmentally friendly and the health risks. So I moved to the menstrual cup only because that’s what I’d known. It was hard and uncomfortable to insert and even removal was hard. Then I moved to the diva menstrual disc. It has a little thing to hook the finger with and pull out but it got stuck in the early days and one time it was a struggle to get it out. I knew I could probably learn to use with time but I had no time for that. So I went for the pixie menstrual disc and I love that I can just pull it out with the dangling stem and it saves so much time. It’s the tampon version but with significantly less environmental impact. And with the sanitizer that just requires water, I find it to be the perfect solution to my periods and instead of 4 or 8 hours, I can go up to 12 hours! Though on heavy days it’s hours, the fact that I have that option and that I don’t really feel like I’m menstruating makes it a great find. Thank you Pixie for providing this.
