great cheap stoppers
I have a few open couplers I had to seal up temporarily while I'm doing some work still on a few projects. Out of interest of keeping debris out of the box (and spiders), I grabbed some of these to seal up my work. They thread in easily, and the finger tabs worked fine. They have seals on them if you need water tight, but for my application, I'm not looking for water tight. If you needed to, the fit and seals that come with these will be more than what's required to get it done. If you want that extra piece of mind, you could teflon tape it but I think that'd be excessive.

Perfect fit in my fuel cans.
Fit perfectly in my fuel cans. No longer need a tool to remove the cap in order to install the hose. I did have to remove the lower rubber seal as I was afraid it would just fall into the can since it did not make contact anyplace when seated. Well made and a perfect fit.
