I love that it can hold tons of oil pastel but I don't have to use up all my pastels scrubbing into the paper! It's got a good tooth. Not too much, not too little. Extremely durable. Great value. Will be repurchasing!

This paper is sanded just enoug. Sort of similar to canson xl sanded paper; sort of. I bought the 30pk of 9x12. I used a budget set of oil based pencils for the drawing. I do think soft or oil pastels will do really well with this paper.

This paper is thick enough for its price. It can accept multiple layers of colored pencils and works well with techniques involving OMS. Panpastel works really well. With OMS first and then layering Panpastel, the colors fill in really smoothly. So it should be good for dry media including colored pencils and pastels. However, water will damage this paper easily. The package does not have a hard board backing and one corner was distressed when arrived. For these two issues, I would knock off one star.

Good choice for oil pastels and mixed media.

This paper is easy to work with and very thick. It is worth your money if you were doing watercolors.
