And plastic? Fish spit out** A: The fish in my 20 and 46 gallon tank eagerly eat GloFish food. The flakes are multi-colored as are many other fish foods on the market. If you are asking if the food itself is plastic? Then no. **Q: Does it expire ?** A: It does have a date on the bottom which I assume is the expiration. Mine are dated for mid 2021. **Q: whats with these white flakes? The fish spit them out.** A: Some like it some don't. It is food.
