Great for learning the basics and very helpful if you want to get in to traditional art

Very cool book. I have a few traditional tattoos and started getting into drawing. So far I've drawn 4 or 5 of the tattoos. I have 0 drawing skills but it provides step by step instructions for each tattoo drawing. Super fun even if youre not a skilled drawer. If you love traditional tattoos and drawing and have 15-20$ to spend can't go wrong with this book

I can’t wait for volume two but let’s get back to the title of my review.We need less designs contained in the book.And we need more steps in each tutorial.And we need LARGER images.Traditional tattoos are large and BOLD!The images in the book are tiny and so are the details in the steps that the potential artist is to follow.It seems that the drawings were done digitally and not with a pencil as one would expect a burgeoning artists to use.It’s easy to “copy, past, and then flip an image” therefore creating a perfect image.Do a second volume! I’ll buy it. But do it right.

I was excited to get a new workbook-but am honestly even more stoked. In the back of the book, you can find a unique code to download the files digitally-and the workbook graph sheets made specifically to work with this book i can now transfer directly to procreate and easily draw that way vs. having to purchase graph paper!super good buy to get some extra practice :) and the quality of the book is very professional!

I’ve been a professional traveling tattooer for 22 years… I did a old school apprenticeship with a old school tattooer.. and I couldn’t be more thankful for that.. unfortunately nowadays it’s almost impossible to find a old school apprenticeship due to (Tattoo schools).. I was NEVER allowed to use a computer in the shop, as a apprentice you have to know how to draw on the spot.. so tattoo flash and tracing became my life and thank goodness for that.. WELL LOOK NO FURTHER..!! With this book you can give yourself a OLD SCHOOL apprenticeship..!! It would’ve been a dream to have had this when I started but I have it now, and I couldn’t be more pleased..!! I purchased mine for my 13 year old daughter who I just started apprenticing, I gave her this book and said this is your bible.. and within a week her flash drawing went from a 4 to a 7 in just a week because of this book.. this should be in every school, library, art class and tattoo shop in the World..!!!

Easy to follow.

This book is an absolute must-have if you’re into traditional tattoo designs. It’s packed with great original artwork and does an excellent job breaking down how to draw the designs if you want to practice creating them yourself. I originally bought this book to use the pictures as stencils for tattooing, and it’s been perfect for that purpose.Beyond that, it’s also a great tool to have on hand for showing people possible traditional tattoo options—it’s a real conversation starter with clients. Whether you’re a tattoo artist or just a fan of traditional designs, this is an awesome addition to your collection. Highly recommend!

Too many lines to ears as you follow the pattern. Hard to do with sidewalk chalk, lol
