No! Unfortunately I thought the samething for daughter birthday. But when it arrived it had PERISH ON IT. MUST OPEN WHEN ARRIVE

It's been a while since I got this, but they are probably just "sleeping". I'd give them a day or so to see if they start moving around. If they don't, contact the seller.

It depends on the temperature. They are love caterpillars, so you should try to bring them inside immediately if possible. You will receive a delivery notification.
