Large reel of low voltage wire which was required for some fixing of electric toys. Seems to be just the job and plenty on the reel for the cost. Would suit any hobby person who needs some low voltage black wire.

This cabling arrived wrapped onto a sturdy plastic spool and packed into a branded resealable bag. The spool has a printed label marked to show what length and wire gauge the spools are. It also had several wrappings of a cling-film like clear plastic and a length of masking tape keeping it all neatly wound up in the pouch.The wires are coated with a standard thickness black coloured PVC insulation, there is no mention of the insulation containing carbon black, so I'm not sure how UV resistant this is for use in direct sunlight. Each of the internal wires are individually insulated with an appropriately thick PVC sheath and they’re each coloured either black or red.Even though this is being advertised as a ‘low voltage’ cabling there is no reason you couldn’t use it for higher voltages, the PVC insulation even clearly states a 300V rating. Voltage is never the issue with cables and it's more about the current draw, so as long as 22AWG is sufficient for your project it'll be absolutely fine.I’ve got no problems with the cable, it strips easily with both a manual & automatic wire-stripper and the conductors inside are made from tinned copper. There are plenty of strands so this cable is definitely suitable for tasks where it needs to flex and it's a nice cable to work with for a range of projects, generally speaking. I’m not sure that this has any special properties that would make it any more suitable for external or vehicular use compared to a standard PVC wire. Though, as long as you put it in the correct conduit or give it a wrapping of fabric loom tape, it will work wherever.My only possible complaint is the price point really, this is fairly expensive for 15 metres of cable and even if you consider each of the two wires as separate lengths you’re only getting 30 metres for £11.99. I’ve purchased 50m spools of 22awg 2-core wire before from the likes of Screwfix for around £15-20, which is significantly better value. I can understand paying a bit extra for smaller quantities and the convenience of the quick delivery, even still, this price point seems excessive to me personally. Other than the asking price, it's a nicely made cable that I have no issues recommending if you’re willing to pay this much for 15 metres of twin 22awg.
