Must buy item if your going to sell your gold items, check them first
Great purchase. Was quoted £200 to buy a load of gold from me off one of those we buy gold shops, they told me the gold was only 9ct and some of the items wasn't solid gold. Tested my gold and turns out many items were 18ct and what he said were gold plated were actually solid 9ct and hallmarked. Total worth of my gold for scrap value is £750 and with out this kit I wouldn't of known better. I also bought some scales from amazon as well. So if you buy this kit then get your self's some scales separately. I can highly recommend. Top tip to clean the stone just use a drop of the 18ct solution it wipes out all the 9ct marks and makes the 18ct less visible.

Easy to use
Well worth the cost as i have recently purchased a 18ct ring and bought this test kit as i was suspicious about thegold stamp and quality. In seconds of using this kit it proved the ring is not 18ct and even worse than thatit is not even gold so a total fake. Now claiming a refund.To be sure i carried out further tests on some other 9ct and 14ct gold items and all of these the tests proved perfect.

Must be old stock
Very dissapointed for it seems the set is old... I have tried the silver testing several times with even 999 silver but it does not respond to anything... Very annoying as I bought the testset specially for the silver testing. A lot of money for something that is simply not working.
