I got the extra long version cuz I have a multi-purpose ladder. It's about 26 in wide so that's why I had to get the extended version. This thing was very easy to put together and all the parts fit perfectly. It only took me about 10 minutes to put together. As you can see in my video it was sturdy and fit perfectly in my stairs. I had to extend my multipurpose ladder and get it out of aframe mode to get to this lightbulb. This is one of my best buys.

This stair platform looks questionable but it worked great. My ladder didn't move at all as I painted my stairwell. It won't be for everyone, but if you have ladder experience it works well.

When I ordered it, I couldn't find any review on how well it works on carpeted stairs, as that is what I have. However, it worked well and felt very sturdy and secure when I was on the ladder.

This is a very handy tool for using on stairs & steps. It stabilizes extension ladders and is very sturdy. I only wish i had found it sooner. I put up a light fixture up in my foyer over my steps and had to use books to make the ladder even but not any more.
