Replacement Spout Pours Fast and Doesn't Leak
I have purchased 4 sets of these Deluxe Hi-Flo Replacement Spouts for various 5 gallon gas cans. The original CARB-style nozzles that came with the gas cans were terrible -- they leaked all over the place when pouring gas and it took forever to fill anything. These new EZ-POUR replacements are well-built for years of use and work exceptionally well at quickly emptying a can without any leakage. I have not used the 8" extension so far since the 8" spout works well enough for my applications. I have had two of the push in vents leak slightly when the gas can is under pressure and being shaken or jostled around, but have had no where near the problems nor spills that I had with the original nozzles. As other reviews have stated, using a bit of epoxy/sealant when initially inserting the vent would likely solve this problem. I have not tried repairing it yet, seeing that it is only a minor inconvenience at this time. I had hoped that I would receive this product in black, but got the white instead; unfortunately there is no way to select the color. As a final note, I find it discouraging that this product is banned in some states since it is far more reliable and environmentally-friendly than the original CARB nozzles that came with my gas cans.

This pack is so good, I bought a second one for another gas ...
This pack is so good, I bought a second one for another gas can. I'm using these to replace the junky "EZ Pour" spouts that just break and/or cause more leaks. This set works great on my two red Blitz cans. It comes with two differently-threaded lock caps. The yellow has wider threads than the black. The set I got had white tubes, but I really don't care what color they are/were. The endcap is threaded and even has a little plastic wire that you can hang it on the tube or something, when you're pouring. The extension tube has internal threading to screw onto the end of the normal flared tube. I just threw these in a box elsewhere, as I probably won't be using the extensions.THE KICKER to this project, that I didn't even realize it has (it's obviously in the picture, though) is the little vent cap. You just drill or cut a hole in the rear/top of your gas can and pop this baby in. Now you have a vent to relieve pressure after a hot day, or to get good airflow to prevent gurgling when pouring at full speed. Why anyone would make a gas can without a vent in the first place is beyond me.A bit expensive, but still cheaper than buying a new can.

SCREW CARB-Compliant Nozzles! These Work, And You Won't Spill Gas All Over When Pouring.
I purchased this product because I have several of the new plastic 5 gallon fuel cans. The CARB regulations for fuel cans are ridiculous in my opinion. I spilled more fuel due to these idiotic mechanisms than I ever did with traditional cans. Not to mention they are SLOW at dispensing the fuel! (OK, enough ranting about how government regulations always have unintended, and mostly detrimental, consequences!)I modified the spout so that it would fit into the unleaded-size gas tank hole found on all vehicles. I wanted a spout that would dispense the fuel at the highest rate possible into the gas tank. I had to buy the "Water" container spout since I live in Maryland (land of "there is never enough government control over your daily lives!"). I bought a cheap long-nosed plastic funnel at Harbor Freight Tools. I cut off the long tapered part just above where it widens out so that it's diameter at the top was just a bit larger than the EZ Pour spout's diameter. I wanted the end of the EZ Pour spout to fit inside the top of the funnel spout.I then cut off the end of the funnel spout at the point just above where it tapers down. I took the funnel spout and attached it to the EZ Pour spout with black electrical tape. I also used the tape at the joint of the 2 pieces of the EZ-Pour spout because it leaks, even when they are screwed in tightly. What I ended up with was a spout that is quite long, which allows you to stick it in the gas receiver of the car prior to tipping up the gas can. It dispenses the fuel into the car at a high rate and 5 gallons is poured in about a minute or less. Try that with a CARB nozzle! The cap from your old CARB nozzle will likely fit on the end of the funnel spout to prevent fumes and gas from leaking out of your gas can.The kit comes with a vent hole cap which is very easy to install. I used a 1/2" brad-point drill bit so that the hole was cut and the waste material stayed outside of the can. Make sure you don't leave any bits of plastic in the can or else you'll have to filter them out when you pour from the can. Once the hole is cut, just put a little glue that isn't affected by gasoline around the vent fitting and press it into the hole. You may need to pound it in with a rubber mallet. If you go to the EZ-Pour website, they have the glue you need. They also have adapters for some older steel cans, such as Eagle. I've outfitted all of my new and old cans with EZ-Pout spouts, even an old "Jerry" can! The only one that I have that EZ-Pour doesn't have an adapter for is the Sears 2 1/2 gallon can that takes a 2" cap.The EZ-Pour site also carries hard caps for cans. These are the same size caps, but have no spout hole. If I had it to do over, I would buy only one nozzle kit and buy hard caps for all of the cans. It's a lot cheaper and you won't have a lot of spouts sticking up, taking up room.I now have 5 five-gallon cans outfitted with these nozzles and I couldn't be happier about it. Filling my lawn machines and vehicles has gone from being a huge Pain In The A$$ using the CARB nozzles to an easy process. I never spill gas now as opposed to spilling a lot every time I used these unholy pieces of crap CARB-compliant nozzles. (Just ask me, and I'll tell ya how I really feel!!)

Vastly superior to original
Fits Scepter brand cans purchased new in 2018-2020 (the yellow ring).I have a new airplane that burns 91 octane unleaded; it isn't feasible to pour 200 litres from the original spout into the tanks at 3-4 minutes per can, and a funnel is still needed to screen for debris. This spout flows as fast as pouring without a spout, and has a built-in screen. The extension is long enough to reach a filler neck on a horizontal plane (like an airplane or lawnmower) without spilling - the original spout is short and will start pouring gas out of the spout before insertion in the filler neck - it is designed for filler necks on a vertical plane (like a car). The spout doesn't leak at the connection if you follow the directions (on a red tag attached to my spout) - lubricate the threads and ensure the sealing flange is engaged. The included vent allows converting an older unvented can (circa 2013) to a vented can - drill a 1/2" hole and insert the new vent; previously useless cans are now flow great.
