Q: R these thick socks? As i got a size 10 shoe as i needed to go up a size as i am 9.5.

Hello Steven.. Yes these socks are thick, they fit my sons size 10 shoe feet perfectly. They are the best socks he has ever purchased. They wash very well indeed keep their shape and have a good stretch, after many many washes. colour does not fade either. He wears no other socks in his toe protector shoes for work. kind regards. to you.

Q: Why does the product in the shopping basket have (L) afterwards? I have not ordered the Large size…

I found them very tight so if it is a size over it may be right

Q: Are these socks moisture-wicking?

I'm not 100% sure, what I can say is I did Ben Nevis wearing these and my feet didn't sweat much at all, mind you it was very cold which I suppose would have helped. My feet didn't get cold either and it was minus 14.5 with windchill with my boots covered in snow for most of the time. I would recommend them to anyone.

Q: are they tight at the top, at the calf?

Mine are just a snug fit at the top! Not too tight. But I haven’t got massive calf’s
