Very fast (both read and write), reliable external SSD. Be aware this T9 version is ticker than the T7 was. It's still compact, but if you want to use it with a U-type USB adapter on your phone's back, it could be a problem. It works nicely with Windows and Mac as well, so no compatibility issue. The price is fine too.

I run applications and even games off this SSD and without the great read and write speeds of this SSD that would not be possible. I previously bought a Lacie hard drive to back up my old samsung galaxy S21 ultra. This didn't go to plan after wasting almost 6 hours to find out right at the end it failed. Tried again and same thing happened. I returned that hard drive and bought this to make the transfer with it being advertised as 2000mb/s. After receiving it I plugged it directly to my Galaxy S21 ultra and formatted it, then began to transfer almost 450gb of data over. This took about 1 hour and 25 minutes. Which is amazing and made the switch to my new phone so much easier. Highly recommend this product. By the way it's small in size, about the size of a card holder but thicker.

I did have to format it but that’s because the Samsung program isn’t that accessible, I’m blind, and it kept throwing up an error every time I plugged in the drive saying the associated file does not have an app to run it, or something like that.Once that was done, everything worked as expected.

Had a T5, this is so much quicker.It also connects to tablet every time which the T5 did not for some reason. I did try various USB- C cables.
