Bought to replace Crucial X10 SSD's which fail when using a macintosh (I have had several and this appears to be a common problem with the Crucial X10 and macs). The Samsung works with Macs without any problem and have a very similar speed.

Excellent external SSD. Using on a Mac and the speed means I can use it for iMovie as if it were and internal drive. No need to transfer, just usable. Very happy with this.

Samsung have done it again! Genuinely a great fast SSD with zero reliability issues! I had a crucial drive that kept giving me issues with my Mac so I decided to jump ships to samsung and I dont regret it at all! No issues whats so ever and works perfectly fine all the time! The only thing I would say is if the T7 is cheaper get it and save the money if your on Mac! No current Macbook supports USB3.2 Gen 2x2 however I got the T9 as it was on sale so it was cheaper than the T7!

Using this with my Macbook Pro M3Pro is amazing, processing video clips and photos from the SSD like it is an internal drive is amazing. The transfer speeds are amazing, using this in Affinity Photo and DaVinci Resolve means you don't have to transfer files into the internal storage. The physical size is great, you can bring it with you travelling and it has a nice feel with the rubber coating outside. Very happy with this.
