Briwax Wax Polish Rustic Pine 400G

Originally used to treat new doors. This time to do trim around doors and to refinish a night stand

Have been using Briwax for years. A great product.

I watched many videos on Utube on how to apply this wax. I tried it and it did not work for me. It says no sanding needed. I cleaned my cupboards with Krudcutter and tried the wax a few days later. It would not adhere to my cabinet. I sanded it a little and still it did not adhere well. I did not like the way my cabinet looked when I finished. The product when wiped on left spots of wax that I had to scrub so that they would blend in with the rest of the wax. Maybe I received an old can? I don’t recommend this unless you are using it on real wood and the item has been thoroughly sanded down. I tried this on my 2005 builder grade so called wood cabinets. I ended up painting it instead.

the smell is intense, not good but, I am not a furniture waxer, so I cannot really comment on too many other wax products other than (minwax- which also stinks that i have used for a different purpose chalk painted items...)This I bought for my "rustic Mexican furniture" I purchased the 'Rustic pine"wax. I was not looking for lustre / brilliant shine as it would counteract the rustic look. I acquired a bunch or secondhand (not looked after- dull water stained - porous) Mexican pine pieces , and I aded the wax to all sides of the furniture and it really showed the grain well, they looked fresh and clean, also if I buffed the top it would be very, very shiny! I choose to buff the tops only for kid-proofing, waterproofing/ wine ring-proofing and left the sides just waxed no shine. At first I thought it was not dark enough but a few layers it's perfect, we have unintentionally addend a few dents ourselves and filled them in with the wax and it adds to the rustic look! So I would say minus the smell it's a great product. If you live in a decent climate and the items are small enough to bring outside to wax it's perfect, otherwise wait until good weather to open windows for the day and wax. I plan on purchasing again, however I still have a bunch left! I did 4 large pieces; armour, pantry, buffet, dresser+ 2; small side tables.

I used this product to restore the finish in an antique pumpkin pine table that was made in Prince Edward Island and it did an amazing job. The finish was in very poor condition and I was afraid I would have to strip and refinish it. I took a chance and put a coat of Bri-wax Rustic Pine on it, and omg, it's unbelievable how good it looks. You will NOT be disappointed in this product. Covet it and use on your favorite antiques!
