I love my new doorbell
This was my first time using a video doorbell, and I was initially worried about the wiring. But the setup was surprisingly simple, thanks to the step-by-step guide in the app. I was also pleased to discover that my old mechanical chime continues to function with the ecobee doorbell camera after installing the included chime adapter—it was a nice touch! The video quality is excellent, and the wide field of view provides a great look at my porch. I also appreciate the motion detection range adjustment in the app, which allows me to customize what gets detected, reducing unnecessary alerts. One of my favourite features is the integration with the thermostat. I didn’t expect to use it much, but I love that I can quickly glance at my thermostat to see who’s at the door when the bell rings. Overall, this doorbell camera has exceeded my expectations. It’s user-friendly, reliable, and packed with useful features. Highly recommend!

Which of the 3 to pick
Of the camera doorbells on the market this one if my favorite, however I think you may want to consider on of the others, depending. Logi was the only doorbell with noticeable downsides outside of having a secure platform. Nest and their ecosystem was the best for full home automation and Eco was the best for a secure platform/ standalone product/ Apple Home iOS product. though you really can't go wrong with any of those 3.LogiI'll start by stating there really isn't a bad choice here, with the possible exception of logi, between them getting obsessively hot and not being terribly reliable. My dad has one and he has both issues though not enough so that he gets rid of it.RingI had a Ring for years and it worked well. It was easy to install and the notifications were accurate. Plus the community is huge so you'll know when something happens. For example when something happened at a local elementary school my ring doorbell let me know first. Same for amber alerts. This is solid choice, though not the securest platform as the only downside here.Google - NestThey make a great doorbell. The major advantage this doorbell has is that it goes with the google ecosystem. I.E. if you want a lot of home automation, or you're in their ecosystem already there is no reason not to grab this doorbell. It's not the most secure platform either though not the least.EcoThe picture is great, it works by far the easiest with other systems (like Apple or iOS), and there are no large downsides. If you want a secure platform or are using Apple's Home App this is your best bet.

Works well in Ecobee app, and in Apple Homekit
This doorbell camera works very well. Compared to a Ring, the field of view is wider. In the Ecobee smartphone app the recording are excellent and easy to access. In two different homes, we simply replaced the existing doorbell button switch with this. It includes what they call a chime adapter, a little box that goes in the doorbell chime box on the wall. The setup steps are in the phone app, and they are thorough and detailed. I like these a lot. That I wish was different: while it works to stream live video at Apple Home, it won't show its recordings in Home. Not yet! Hopefully they might update it to allow that, by supporting what is called HSV (Homekit Secure Video).I can't speak to how it works with the Amazon and Google smart home systems. When we needed phone support, it was available (once we found Ecobee's phone number which was a challenge :-))

Not compatible with Google Home or Alexa app!
We’ve installed the ecobee asteria wired doorbell camera and it works in the ecobee app. However after linking my ecobee account with Google Home and Alexa app the camera feed will not display. All other Google home compatible devices are working flawlessly. Same with Alexa app. All other cameras display without issue. I’ve unlinked and relinked in both Google home and the skill in Alexa’s app. This is an issue with the ecobee device. Very disappointed they promote the device as compatible when it is not. I also downloaded the latest version of the app to be sure that wasn’t the issue. The video will not display in either Google Home app not Alexa app. Only on the ecobee app does the camera feed work. Now that I have more holes drilled in my brick I’m very frustrated! Buyer beware!
