I've tried a couple of these galaxy/nebula projectors and this is one that I really like. The pattern is reminiscent of ripples on water and is very unique. I also like the rainbow of colors it is able to produce. I don't like the fake laser stars a lot of these projectors include so I'm happy this one doesn't have that feature. This projector only points straight up so it won't fill your whole ceiling but provides a nice effect when placed close to a wall. A brief summary of the projectors I've tried: ENBRIGHTEN Aurora Crystal-Ball Galaxy Projector (this item) - Fixed projection angle, vivid colors, memorizing wave/water ripple-like pattern, no app control, super quiet motor. Bottom line: Almost silent and very reasonably priced; would be perfect if the projection angle could be adjusted BlissLights Velarus - Adjustable angle, vivid colors, memorizing wave/water ripple-like pattern, great iOS app, relatively quiet motor. Bottom line: My favorite projector with the only weakness being the audible motor BlissLights Sky Lite Evolve - Adjustable angle, colors not as vivid as the Velarus, pleasing nebula/cloud-like pattern, great iOS app, relatively quiet motor. Bottom line: Excellent option if you want laser stars Govee Star Light Projector - Adjustable angle, vivid colors, memorizing wave/water ripple-like pattern, good iOS app, relatively loud motors. Bottom line: Overly expensive, large, bulky & loud; I didn't keep this one

Creates lovely effect in darkened room. Doesn't cover large area but adds a point of interest.

I seriously love this thing. I’ve sent some to a bunch of my friends. It’s so soothing and relaxing to watch the colors on the ceiling, and I love changing it based on my mood. Only downsides: doesn’t light up your entire ceiling, you need to have a pretty wide open space for it to cast further. Also, after a couple months I feel like it’s gotten a little noisy? Like I can hear the mechanics of the light rolling around? It isn’t too loud or irritating, just odd. I’m thrilled with this purchase, especially for the price. If anything should happen to it, I’ll buy another one. Do yourself a favor and buy it! Your inner child will be thrilled.

The colors in the item description photos are fairly accurate. This thing can output some really soft and mesmerizing color waves. However, the coverage of the effect is nothing like in the photos. The actual projector is a conical shaped beam that is fairly narrow, and will not realistically cover a ceiling if the device is used on a table. In order to get a significant amount of ceiling coverage, you will have to use the device on the floor. That is hardly ideal for a tabletop device. Also, the plastic used for the diffuser globe cover is really soft, and it feels cheap. It feels like it can be easily crushed with one hand when putting it on or taking it off. It also doesn't snap or lock into place cleanly. It feels very rough, like it needs to be jammed into place. Other than those 2 gripes, the rest of the product works as expected. The color transitions and animations are smooth and it's great to add some ambient light to an area. I think given the price, as long as you keep your expectations in check, then this isn't a bad product at all.
