Good weight without tearing up the meat. Makes smashburgers cook evenly with crispy edges. Not too light or to heavy. Works as they should.

These burger press are perfect for cooking in the house or the BBQ pit. Well made cast iron. Clean like you do any cast iron items.

These are a great item Don't forget to put some cooking oil on the handle to soak into the wood to help save them. And pretreat them so they don't rust. They are heavy and they work really well for bacon the bacon cooks and half the time.

Nice thing - nicely made, quality product, just the right amount of "heavy." Unfortunately, those "grill lines" on the bottom became more of a nuisance for me than help. Maybe on a gas stove or on a grill they are easy to hit up, but on electric stove it is just a pain in a butt. They also in your way during the cleaning and, especially, the wiping part. I use it with my cast iron pan, which I use for high temp cooking and in 9 out of 10 times all I need is to wipe it when I am done. With this press wiping is not that simple so this why I gave it only 4 stars. The one with flat bottom works for me better than this.
