They work really well! A lot of running shoes have fabric uppers which wear through quickly, but these make the trainers last so much longer. When you're spending £100 on a pair of shoes, what's another £7.50? I tried saving money and using gaffer tape last time but it didn't stay stuck in like these do - you wouldn't know they were there. Please follow the instructions though - leave for 24 hours after sticking in and not suitable for washing in the machine!

Always had holes appear in my trainers where the big toe is. This product is really v effective in preventing holes, it's cheap and it's simple to use.

I wear a certain brand of Japanese trainers and within about 4 months of wearing them they develop a hole where each of my big toes are. This product has been very effective in preventing this and so greatly prolongs the life of my trainers.It's a clever design that makes correct placement of the protector inside each trainer easier and more certain. It does seem that the cost of such a product would likely be fairly low, so I would expect 2 pairs for the price of the one pair that I paid, so I have docked a star for that reason.

An an expensive pair of trainers that I never thought would get a hole so soon and within the first year, even felt so comfortable for work.I ended up getting this product to which are so easy to put inside the trainers to hide the hole. Other trainer hole was worse, but as I was not sure if would work I never took photo, so as I was so pleasantly surprised how amazing it worked. I thought I would take photo of other trainer and do a positive review. Thanks to who ever invented this idea . Will worth the price .

Always get toe holes, this was so easy to install and cannot see where the hole was. It fits and doesn’t need to be cut to size (size 8), cannot tell it is there, no issues with stickiness, quality is amazing, I have bought more for other shoes

Fed up of expensive fabric trainers being binned when they are still perfectly good apart from the toe going through. I did a speculative search and found this product; the toe guards are brilliant, they work a treat and you can't tell they are there. In future, I'll buy a set of these at the same time as buying the shoes.

I definitely recommend these for prolonging the life of expensive running shoes with weak mesh front uppers. First of all, I’ve had no issue with the slight reduction in air circulation these stick on patches naturally cause. I’ve bought this item twice for my running shoes - the first time was after I had already put holes in the toe position of my ASICS Gel Nimbus 25s after about 200 km of use. The holes have not got worse since fitting and I’ve now covered 785 km. For my second pair of ASICS Nimbus 25s I fitted these protectors from day 1 and they are have no holes even after having now covered 558 km in these running shoes. Does exactly what they advertised and for my shoes the adhesive has kept them in place without issue, even through some heavy rain, soaking my running shoes. In conclusion, they seem expensive for a couple of stickers, but I feel worth it for expensive running shoes which gain significant extra life for those people whose big toes tend to create holes in their running shoes.

Initially I was very impressed when I applied these and they felt secure to the touch. However at the end of my first run with these inserted the felt as thought the were becoming unstuck around the edges and adhering slightly to my socks. They haven't come off completely but I do have to be careful when putting my foot into my trainers I can feel the sides lifting.On a positive note I have gotten a few more km out of my trainers but I can't see me getting many more. If you have been training for a race and developed a hole and need to get a final run out of your trainers these should do the trick as a one off patch job.
