My bath-house window latch was broken, and town-folk sellers asked much silver for its mending. So I, bold of hand and light of purse, took the task upon myself.Lo! I found this handle, stout and strong, with many a nut and bolt to fit the common frames of men’s dwellings. The make is firm, the grip true. Replacement window handle
Make sure you measure your old handle as seen in the pictures on the web page. Sooooo simple to fit. If the window is open shut it, unscrew the old screws ( keep them as you know they fit and saves cutting the supplied screws) top tip if you can't 'open' the old window handle to unscrew the hidden screw a credit card slipped in-between the lock and handle allows you to 'open' the handle to get to the screw. Fit the relevant post and simply screw your new handle on. I will buy a couple more as spares, highly recommended.

I rang a lock company to see if they could repair a bedroom window handle that I had come off when I was closing it..the windows are ancient upvc.. the cost was £75 for a call out plus handle and fittings but the guy told me it was easy and cheaper to do yourself ..so I thought I’d give it a go.. After checking which was the correct type of handle eg espag that I needed and looking on line how to carry out the replacement (I also looked at the reviews ) I bought this handle.. Until you unscrew the screws in the old handle placement plate you don’t know how long they are,and being a novice at DIY didn’t want to do this in case I made things worse (don’t know how) .. so this new handle that comes with multiple screw lengths and multiple size spindles was perfect, so I thought.. yes everything went clockwork until I needed to “cut” the screws to length..and I didn’t have a hacksaw or whatever to cut them down… however, the screws from the old handle went in fine so I used them and its all good again.. saved myself over £60 for 10mins work.. very pleased.
