Compact zoom monocular.
Sturdy build quality,very clear at 8x magnification,anything higher than around 16x the field of view gets very narrow and significant dimming of the image occurs unless very bright surroundings. At maximum magnification you need to rest it on something solid!However,considering the size it's pretty good actually. I paid Ā£57 on special offer from Bresser/National Geographic ,I think it's not really worth the higher prices elsewhere.

Expensive. Not useful for birds or butterflies
Very disappointed with this product - very poor quality image for further than the smallest magnification. No use at all for birds or butterfly iD!
