First - the price on Amazon isn't the best. I'm ok with paying $20 or so for the 12 bars, because the standard free shipping from Amazon is always super fast to me. I see them for $16 and change on at least one other website for the same product and quantity.Mostly, I wanted to comment on the stuff you can't tell from the label. Although, I'll say that 240 calories for only 17 grams of protein is kinda high. This thing, to me, is like eating a brownie. It's a little chewier, of course, but it's a GREAT satisfying chocolatey bar that does not taste like diet food or like I'm eating sugar substitute, etc. It's covered in a layer of chocolate on one side, and has tiny chocolate chips all mixed in. Like others have said, it'll get soft in the shipping, so stick in the fridge for an hour or two when you receive them, so the chocolate doesn't stick to the wrapper. This is a great thing to keep around as a healthier type of snack when you're having a chocolate need and don't want to go nuts on a pan full of brownies. EVen at my worst, I never feel the need to eat more than one. The flavor is really great, and still the bar has nutrients and protein in it, way better than any other chocolate thing I could reach for. This is pure damage control for me. And, it also has 30% of your daily iron - take that, brownies!The downside - well, this is relative. If you're comparing it to brownies, there's no downside. Give me this any day. But, on its own, you do have to pay attention to the label. It is relatively high in saturated fat. For only 240 cals out of a single day's alotment, it has 4.5 grams of saturated fat (the goal is 20 grams or less, for a regular 2000-cal diet). So, it's almost 1/4. That's not great. It does have 25 grams of carbs as well, so if you're a diabetic, you have to be careful there too, since that's on the high end for a snack.Some others have commented about the ingredients being "poop inducing." I have to say that I have not found that to be the case at all. I haven't had any upset stomach or anything else weird to report with these. I wish they were a little cheaper, but other than that, I absolutely love keeping them around to stave off emergencies. If it's any help to know, I've lost 121 pounds by changing my views about food, and I make sure to exercise a lot. I don't think it's ever a good idea to rely on shakes or bars to have a real permanent lifestyle change that has to come with permanent weight loss - but for sporadic treats done the right way, such as in this case, I think it can really help with damage control, so in this case, even with the trade off for the high saturated fat, if it's saving you a binge on something else, go for it. They taste really great and never let me down.

EAS AdvantEdge Carb control Nutrition Bar, Double Chocolate Crisp is bt far one of the best low carb product I have found. I has the best tasting chocolate in any low carb bar I have found. It is 4 grams of effective carbs and 17 grams of proteins. It tastes so good to, you would not think it was a low carb item. I am sad to see it is not in the subscribe and save program anymore, I was hoping to get a box or two a month. It is still a great buy at its price and it is so much easier to get. My local store had it in stock but I think someone else always gets them before I get there. So now I don't have to worry about going out of my way to find them and they are 5 cents a bar cheaper with free shipping.

Tring to find these bars in local store without success. Found here on eBay and bought. I generally have one for breakfast which gives me plenty of go power. During the day when I start to slow down I have another and it makes me want to work past dark. These bars are high in good carbohydrates that help with energy. The calorie level is sufficiently low.Some days these bars in different flavors are all i eat. I particularly enjoy the carment fudge and the double chocolate crisp bars.

Many protein bars have a chalky taste to them. Many leave an after taste that is less than desirable. I have tried many other protein bars including EAS bars. These are sweet, have a lower amount of calories, are filling and can even be a meal replacement if needed. They do melt in a warm car, so take with you, But if you get them back to room temperature they are just fine to eat. I take them in my purse when I might need something to eat while I am working.

I am a post op bariatric patient and am constantly looking for quality protein supplements that not only provide quality protein but also taste good. These are just the right combination of taste and quality!! I used to like to eat a protein bar before a workout but the calories on these are a little high for that but are great as a meal replacement after a workout. They are chocolately (is that even a word??? LOL) without tasting grainy or like carob. I first found these single bars at Meijers so I came to Amazon to buy a whole box to take on a business trip with me. They are filling and tasty all at the same time. You will not be disappointed!

All around delicious and healthy nutrition bar. These bars are not only loaded with protien and fiber, they are very low in sugar. I have tried most of the advantEdge carb control bars and these are the ones I keep coming back to. I think I've purchased 8 to 10 boxes to date. I've searched the Internet and it seems Amazon has the best price for these as well -- At times available through Amazon via AllStarHealth.

These are my favorite flavor/type of the EAS bars. They taste good and are 240 calories. I can use them as a light breakfast or as an in between meals snack. I hate most of the bars, but these taste good. Not candy, so you aren't trying to just eat them whenever, but satisfying and good.

We tried the double chocolate flavor. It seems a little gritty because of the fiber but these bars are still very, very good. They fill you up - the bar seems HUGE to me. Sometimes I'll cut it into thirds and put a chunk in my kids' lunches and they think it's a candy bar.
