Gobe - Filter kit for 77 mm lens: UV + Circular Polarizing (CPL) (2Peak)

Where do I begin with this product. The price is very competitive for two high quality filters that are matched. The lenses are both high quality optically, have a nice metal body with truly beautifully machined metal screw caps to keep the lenses secure and clean.They come in a lovely two part cardboard cylindrical box which I will recycle for protecting some other lenses, they are that good. The filters are then within a small canvas bag and you get a lens cloth also. Seriously I have never enjoyed opening a set of filters before this, with other manufacturers everything is more usually in preformed plastic and card that needs to be cut open and thrown in the bin !!!Environment credentials are right up there, the filters are terrific and the packaging can be up cycled for other photographic uses too. Oh and of course Gobe plant 5 trees following your purchase too.I tested the quality of the lens on my Olympus Pen-F and found them to be just what I required. The attached photograph was taken by the Pen-F using the circular polarise filter.I couldn't be happier with this product and thoroughly recommend them for yourself and as gifts for the photographer in your life as recipients will truly remember opening the packaging of these Gobe filters making it a memorable gift.I will certainly be looking at adding to my filter collection now that I have discovered Gobe.

These are the second set of Gobe ( now renamed Urth) filters I've bought. The UV filter is mainly to protect the lens glass. The quality is very good and both filters fit as they should. The CPL filter has a bit of resistance when turning but that is better than being too loose. They come with metal covers so the filters can be protected when not in use rather. The other advantage is these were cheaper than the Urth equivalent filters on their website. Haven't noticed any colour cart on the photos I've taken so far.I quality filter and i would buy from Gobe again.

Recently purchased this, having no experience what so ever with filters as im mostly a portrait photographer.With that in mind, after purchasing this i received an email telling me i had planted 5 tree's and where. Im not an ECO guy (i always recycle etc but i'm not overly interested in it, guilty as charged!!) but this did actually make me feel pretty good.This item came beautifully packaged in a sturdy round card box...Inside was a really nice feeling metal stack with the filters inside. The outer box is clearly made out of recycled material yet still managed to look and feel great.The stack as mentioned feels and looks great, and thanks to the double threading you can add as many filters to this stack as you like (i added my ND1000 lens also purchased by GOBE at the same time, so all my filters are in 1 place).I have not used or tested the UV filter, as i don't believe they are necessary and will probably never use it, however upon inspection seems to be the same high quality glass as the PL and ND filters are made of.I tested this product today; just outside my window as it was a bright day...The results look great on my 24-70mm Canon L lens..no distortion, vignetting or colour tints you can often get on wide angle lenses from the variables. The polariser adds a lot of contrast and removes reflections as expected. I will be testing this lens in depth on a landscape photography trip in the end of April and will edit this with pictures as they will be used a lot.Very professional quality product for a very reasonable price.

The packaging is excellent, the two filters are extremely useful

I wasn’t surprised that the idea came from, Byron Bay, Australia, but made in China. For those that don’t know Byron Bay is a beautiful place on the coast and was a Hippy commune from long ago. Changed a bit now but the ethos is still there. Lovely fitting together and protection of each filter when not in use. Comes in a tough circular tub which is handy for going in the camera bag. Within the tub are the filters that screws together and are capped ate each end. They fit into a bag and there is a cleaning cloth. Very handy, all together. Also, they are not expensive but appear well made.

Great quality reasonably priced filters, particularly like the storage end caps which mean I can just throw them in my kit bag without having bulky wallets and they are totally safe and protected from damage. Very well presented and work well, if you are looking for great quality low priced filters I'd recommend trying these before spending a fortune, they fit nice and tight so won't easily come loose and they plant 5 trees for every purchase....what's not to like

absolutely superb, bought first kit for a trial as price was amazing, so was a bit apprehensive, but they were so good, purchased a load for my xpro 2 lenses and Leica and they are spot on, just back from ad shoot on scottish islands and the image quality is amazing considering the rare heatwave in scotland at the moment, packaging great and the cloths you get with them are brilliant,ive been shooting professionally for 30 years, love them

Como todos los filtros Gobe que he comprado hasta el momento tienen una calidad buena a un precio aceptable. La presentación en caja de cartón, además de las tapas metálicas y acoplando entre ellos, lo que hace que su transporte sea cómodo y seguro. Si añadimos su apuesta ecológica de reforestación hacen un pleno a las 5 estrellas

Die Filter sind teuer aber von guter Qualität. Wie auf den Fotos zu sehen sollte man einkalkulieren wenn die filtert aufgeschraubt sind, es etwas klobig wirkt. Beim fotografieren bemerkt man den Filter hingegen garnicht.
