Leviton 84003 1-Gang Duplex Device Receptacle Wallplate, Stainless Steel: It's the perfect kitchen accent to match new stainless steel appliances. It's well-made. It had no irregularities and screwed-in without issues. And being rigid metal, there was no danger of breakage during screw tightening. I'm astounded by all the 1 star reviews complaining about receiving "BLUE" plates. That's the protective plastic film!! Simply peel away the blue plastic for a pristine, unscratched steel plate!! Highly recommended.

My wife and I recently remodeled our kitchen, replacing old,dated fixtures, and installed new cabinets. So when we chose brushed nickel pendant lights for our island, brushed cabinet knobs and pulls, and all new stainless appliances, we naturally decided to update all of the wall plates as well. It's nice to have everything match. Leviton makes a very nice quality product. Very solid, and they look really nice. What is really great is that they have quite a variety of wall plates, for every conceivable need. This review is for a duplex plate, but we bought many different ones, and they all match. I think they are a little expensive (minus half a star) for what you get, especially in comparison to a simple plastic one, but they really finish off the kitchen, and I don't regret spending the money on them. You do get what you pay for. If you are looking for a way to make your plugs look a little nicer, consider these. They do attract fingerprints, but that is to be expected for brushed metal finishes. Just need to wipe off now and then (minus half a star).

Great for updating the garage outlets.

I hesitated for a long time, knowing buying online products can be scary experience at times, this is exactly what I was looking for and fixed my outlet problem instantly! I have recently been remodeling my home-office setup and realizing my wall outlet can no longer reliably insert a A/C network adapter (or anything else) without having some sort of sinking in to the wall or wobbliness to it when I plug the adapter in. Package: * New, sealed plastic package, nothing special * Blue anti-corrosion and surface protection film from factory (peel it off) * Included with a fresh flat-headed screw Pros: * Solid, thick metallic plate to ensure rigidness / sturdiness * Prevents the actual socket from sinking deeper in when you plug in something * The surface is adhesive friendly for that extra secureness if you are using little extra double sided silicone adhesive tape to hold something large things in place. Cons: Nothing really, its silver plated assembly and finish, if you are trying to match your decorations, this is the only factor you might want to consider. Summary: When I assembled it, the sockets where still sinked in from its old position, 5min later it eventually came out flush with the plate as if this rigid plate reconditioned it.

I mean, what can I say? They’re made of METAL. *Insert electric guitar wailing* Sure, they cost a little more, but then you honestly never have to worry about replacing them again. I have a spot in my house where a chair likes to slide across the hardwood and plow through the plastic plug covers. It was jarring at first, but then it happened so often, it became one of the standard house noises. *slide* *crunch* “Dad I completely decimated another plastic plug cover” I decided I had enough, and this cover was the first result of an absolutely obnoxious search. It was something like “STAINLESS STEEL INDESTRUCTIBLE PLUG COVER OF JAPANESE FOLDED STEEL OR MAYBE THAT METAL WOLVERINE HAS ON HIS BONES” I was not disappointed. The new house noise is the same slide followed by a metal “clang” that is this product basically saying “Bro, I got you.” Never been happier with an inanimate object.

Exactly as I was expecting, and it does come with a protective blue plastic film to prevent scratches during shipping. Actually, the film is done so well (nice edges, proper adhesion), that I've left it on the wall plates to see if I like them with a blue tint!
