It works, but with a little help.
With my hose connected to my kitchen tap I kept getting leaks from the connector and kinks in my hose. I bought this in hope that it would alleviate my current problems. At first like many others who have tried, it failed to work. I was frustrated as it wasn't straight forward as it looked to be, so I understood why some people weren't happy with this product. However I decided to give it one last go and try something different. I held up the priming hose from the connector side and poured water into the hose, in hope of giving it a kick start. Connected it back up, put the other end in a bucket of water and voila! It worked! My only gripe with this is the instruction manual not having detailed instructions how to use it in case it doesn't work.Anyways now I don't have to deal with a long hose that I'd have to reel up at the end of the day!

This item was purchased to enable my Bosch pressure washer to function via a standing water source, it is said to be self priming but the only way I could prime it was to lie on the floor with the water source between 3 and 12 feet above it and suck on the pipe, quickly connect it and then I am rewarded with a very irregular supply of water through the pressure washer for a couple of minutes. I think Bosch saw us all coming, I tried all possible methods to get this working to no avail. I mean £20 pound for a short piece of hose and a connector on one end and a bit of molded plastic filter the other end and then not to work is a bit rich. For the money they could have fitted a simple hand primer to the hose. This is no fault of the middle man supplier but all the fault of Bosch. And note that another well known yellow and black pressure washer company do a similar thing for £35 ! erk!. Not happy at all. If there were such a thing as -1 star I would have given it that, and to have to give the product any stars at all is not right. Hoping to return it and buy a reel hose that I know will work when I get a tap fitted etc etc.

Works very well, with one small fix
When I received this hose, air kept getting in around the universal adaptor meaning that the water coning out was at a very low pressure. I found that where the adaptor had been installed, it had created a small hole which let the air in. After cutting the hose and reattaching the adaptor, it worked great and I was able to utilise the high pressure water. In conclusion, it works very well once the section of hose with the hole is removed.SOLUTION: remove the adaptor, use a sharp blade to cut about 1 inch off the end of the hose (below the previous clamp mark), and reattach the adaptor.
