Nice tall gate for cats
I searched for quite awhile trying to find the correct gate for my kittens. Most gates are too short. I've been using this about two months now and it's been perfect for my situation. I have a kitten that is really adventurous and I am worried that she will escape from the house one day as I have two roommates that go in and out of the front door a lot. They may accidentally leave the front door cracked for a moment or come back inside while my kitten is waiting for them and she may run out. She's already gotten in the garage a couple of times. Since putting up the gate I was finally comfortable letting the cats free roam the house. It's a little inconvenient for the humans by design, but it keeps the kittens from being able to sneak out when we aren't paying attention. The gate was easy to install, has been very sturdy, and is easy to open and close.

The Perfect Pet Gate!
This gate was easy to install and is very sturdy. It was easy to put together and install. The gate is tall enough so my 2 cats can’t jump over and they stay in the area they are suppose to stay in. The other gates I have tried end up being too short and my cats were able to jump right over, but not with this gate.

I love this gate!
This gate is very sturdy, easy to open and latches easily without coming dislodged from the door frame. It was also easy to assemble by myself. I really like the base that prevents clumsy people like me, from dislodging the entire bottom of the gate from the door frame by tripping and kicking the gate. I do wish these gates came in a full door size, but thankfully for me, the height of this one is perfect. I don't like my bedroom door closed during winter because I don't use central heat. But I also don't allow my cats or dogs in my bedroom. They have the entire house, but that's my fur-free sanctuary. I have allowed a couple of cats in the past to sleep with me, but got sick of cat hairs getting in my eyes and on my work clothes. Anyway, the shorter gates that I use are worthless for keeping the cats out...but so far, after about of month with this much taller gate, they haven't even attempted to try to jump it. I use a propane heat during the winter months so having the gate allows some heat to warm up my bedroom in the evening. I'm considering purchasing another one of these gates for my backdoor. I have a once feral cat that if I'm distracted about keeping the laundry room door closed while I put the dogs out, he will jump the regular gate and dart out the door like a rocket! I wouldn't mind so much, but I'm out in the country and we have huge owls, hawks, and coyotes. My cats are strictly indoor cats...and that's where I want to keep them. But having a gate between the kitchen/laundry room and backdoor would be great for fresh air coming in, but no cat going out!

Does the job, but hard to assemble and overpriced
Sturdy enough and tall enough to separate my cats while they get used to each other, but seems overpriced to me. Assembly was much harder than anticipated – the instructions are terrible, but I figured it out. Looks nice enough and is very easy to use. Also happy that it won't damage my doorframe.

Sturdy, fairly easy to assemble, instructions could be better
I think I understand what a lot of other customers were having problems with as far as the alignment of some of the additional rails that were provided with this gate.First off, make sure you do not cut off the tag with the tie that’s holding the pieces together. That is very important!Next thing is that you use one nut that is closest to the cup. That’s going to go against the wall. Insert the bolt into your extension at the side of the gate. Then screw on another nut loosely leave at least a quarter inch on each side of the nut so that the bolt moves loosely at first. Screw on the gray knob next also a bit loosely leaving about a quarter inch space between it and a nut. Those nuts are to keep the bolt locked in place once you have it fairly fitted against your walls. Once you have them fairly fitted, you’re going to have to fiddle with the nuts to get the proper alignment of the cup against the wall. Once you screw the grey knob AWAY from the nuts that will tighten the gate against the walls. Do not tighten the grey knobs excessively tight otherwise you won’t be able to properly open the gate. I discovered that because I tightened the heck out of them and I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t getting the gate open.It took me a little bit of playing with the nuts to get them in the right position, but once I got them in the right position and I was able to lock them down, all I had to do was tighten the gray knobs and they held fast. I did have to remove one nut from the right side placement because I needed that extra quarter inch in order to fit the width properly. It has not altered the strength against the wall in any way. What does help if you are installing this by yourself is to place the gate in the floor holder; that will help you to keep it upright.I do suggest, however, that if you are a renter and are concerned about the pressure of the cups damaging your walls, put something between the cup and the wall. I used some foam paper that I got at a dollar store. I just cut it a little bit bigger than the diameter of the cups, doubled it and placed it between the cup and the wall to receive some of the pressure and it also helped to hold it tight. So I don’t have to worry about damaging the wall in my small apartment. The gate I received does not have round tubular bars. Mine are flat with rounded edges. It seems to be very sturdy and my cat will definitely not be able to get through this. However,I honestly do not know how it would hold up against a heavy dog push pushing on it.I personally like it, and I really don’t think my cat will be able to jump this gate even from the position of the futon where I have it situated. Because I live in a very small apartment and there is not much space for me to move the futon, he has been jumping from the futon over the old child gate that I had, which is the reason why I bought this taller gate. I stand about 5‘4” and the gate reaches me to my shoulder.I absolutely love that it came with extensions so if I should move anytime soon, it will fit whatever doorway I need to put it up against. So far there is nothing to dislike about this gate.

Great Gate
The gate was very easy to put together and install. It is very study and has held up for months now. It is easy to open and close and does a great job separating our kitten from our resident cats.

Perfect for keeping out jumping pets!
This product arrived quickly and was extremely easy to install in our doorway. It even came with a few pieces to extend the gate if the doorway was wider - so versatile and helpful! Since we've installed it, it's worked like a charm! Sure, our cats hate it, but they cannot jump it like the shorter gate options that are out there. Worth it!
