Works as expected
The converter does exactly what it’s designed to and takes a HDMI input (in my case a Firestick) and outputs it to a Scart connector for TV’s lacking HDMI ports. It needs power via the included USB-A cable. The video quality is noticeably worse than a HDMI connector - but it is certainly watchable, and useful where this is the only option.

Works Perfectly
This was very easy to set up - fortunately scart and HDMI are very different! However I was wary about whether the old and new technology could interface well roof to produce clear pictures, but this adapter did it with super clear sounds and pictures. Much appreciated. 😊👍

Does Colour NTSC and PAL
Scart lead grips fairly well.Colour works on the PAL_I TV. Many other devices I've tested don't.The unit does take supplimentary power via usb mini b cable, however in my testing, it was able to get enough power via the HDMI lead alone. Your mileage may vary. (Gtx1080ti + 1M into CTV-1020 10" CRT tv)I have tried other HDMI to AV/CVSB modules where the image came out in greyscale or black and white. This one does colour! I only recently discovered that there is more than one PAL format, and the same goes for NTSC. Strangely this device and the b/w one are both based on macrosillicon MS1836S monolithic IC. Perhaps the format is configurable by pulling certain gpio pins high/low.If this device didn't work I was going to try a HDMi to coaxial RF converter to simulate a TV station. Fortunately I didn't need to go there.

Decent product but PAL / NTSC switch is reversed.
Would have been a 5 Star review had the PAL/NTSC switch not have been labelled incorrectly.Plugged in, selected PAL and image was black & white and unstable. Thought unit was faulty but switched to NTSC and hey presto, it worked. However, the signal I was using was PAL so can only assume the switch was fitted the wrong way round or the label on the case is incorrect.Picture quality is as good as can be expected when using a scart connection.
