Blooming with character
This little guy is living on my Sony a7c. (My professional wedding photography, done on my a7r v). It’s an ultra-pancake lens for portability and convenience.I love using this thing for video as much as Photos. Panning on camera isn’t the best so stationary shots are ideal. But man…the image is so pleasantly soft, riddled with chromatic aberrations in the best way and gives almost a painterly look to your video.Just recording my nephew learning to ride a bike was like watching home movies from the 90s of my brother and I learning to ride a bike.Yeah, it’s just a cheap disposable lens embedded in an e-Mount camera cap, but it’s very well done and secure. Far better than my diy attempts. The best part is you get the vintage aesthetic with modern picture profile controls, so you can fine tune your imagery to your best meet your needs.

This is probably the most fun I’ve had taking pictures in a while.
Bought this because it looked fun. And to be honest. It’s been the most fun I’ve had taking pictures in a solid business minute. The fact that there’s no aperture, focus, or zoom controls makes it fun to hunt for the shot you want to take.A huge bonus is that it makes a great body cap. I bought my camera used and it didn’t come with a body cap. So this makes a good body cap for storage and on top of all that I can easily just take fun pictures without having to slap a whole lens on it.

Fun, goofy little lens
Fits nice and snug on my Sony Nex-6. I'd say my particular lens has decent sharp focus around 4-6' (you can see it best in the picture of the bush). Infinity is a tad soft. This would be good for party or festival portraits that add fun and a little unpredictability. For $25 this is an awesome buy and a relief from "the sharpest lens! no chroma abberation! no halation!"

Retro vibes marred by stubborn smudge
I've shot a few times with this upcycled Body Cap Lens, and I love almost everything about it. The images? They've got this unique, old-school vibe that's just awesome. And the fixed focus? It's like a throwback to simpler times in photography. But, here's the bummer: my lens came with a couple smudges or some pesky dust specks on it. Tried getting them out with an air blower, but no luck. Super sad about it, 'cause this lens was hitting all the right notes for me. Fingers crossed I can somehow get it off. The lens surface itself is practically unreachable through the tiny pinhole in the body cap. Love the concept, just not the quality control.

Great for trips
This is fun to slap on the front of your mirror camera for summer trips. It may not be obvious to all, but you do need to do some editing in order to have that “Film” look. I feel bad for people who buy this and expect their photos to look filtered.
