My boyfriend has this hideous black down vest that I hate. His dog bit into it and cast feathers everywhere. I purchased a traditional patch, but it needed to be melted on and the material of the vest was nylon, so there is no way it was going to work (would have melted the origional material.) I attached it right over my poor sewing job and then put it in a low heat dryer the next day (for about 20 min). My boyfriend was so impressed with the repair, he couldn't even FIND the repair at first. This is a wonderfully strong product that I WILL buy again if I ever get a tear in a down jacket, sleeping bag, tent, or similar structure. The item worked as specified and made for a very clean repair. My only problem now is that my boyfriend is back to wearing this hideous vest all the time....at least now there are not feathers falling out of it. :)**note: if you wanted to use this patch for a tent (or similar thin material) you would probably be best to patch both sides of the fabric. This would eliminate the sticky residue on the inside of the patch. You could set it with a low heat hair-dryer or sit in the sun for a day. It would make a great "on-the go" patch for avid hikers/campers since it is self-adhesive.

I used this patch for a hole in my winter coat. It worked great until I washed my coat. Then, the edges started peeling off, so I needed to put a new patch over it.

My daughter got two holes in the hood of her jacket mid-season. This brand has the best reviews, but didn't have a color that would blend in with her pink jacket. I ordered black, knowing it would be a versatile color if I needed to repair anything in the future. I cut two hearts out of one patch (I think I used less than half of one). I ironed them (with a protective barrier in between) for added adhesive, and so far they have healed up beautiful! I have since washed the jacket and all edges are still well adhered.Very grateful for the quality! Buying these was much cheaper than a new warm jacket and will allow the jacket to move on to it's 5th tiny owner!

I originally bought this to repair a small hole in my favorite hiking backpack. Over a year later, the repair is still in great shape with zero problems. Recently I used one of the patches on an air mattress with a small hole and it worked perfectly! I was really impressed and it saved me from having to buy a new air mattress. These are durable, easy to use, and have many uses. I promise to revise my review if anything changes, but meanwhile I highly recommend them. Good luck! Update 1-30-25 both the patch on the backpack and the air mattress are going strong and haven’t budged at all. Definitely recommend.

I tore the elbow of my cycling rain shell in an accident recently. This tape went on super easily and has so far been completely weatherproof. Considering it saved me the cost of a new jacket, this stuff is worth every cent.

Not really needed for most repairs (the regular Tenacious Tape works very well), but in the rare occasion when you want the breathability, then these are awesome. I have buddies who take great pride in having duct tape all over their ski gear (like badges of courage). Not me. Proper repair requires Tenacious Tape. This stuff works better and looks great.
