One of the Best AI Books I’ve Read
I've read heaps of books on AI over the last year and this is by far nne of my favorites. It explores how AI can amplify human creativity, decision-making, and learning, rather than replace us. Clear, optimistic, and very relevant. Love Ethan's writing style - makes it super easy to digest such a fascinating topic.

pretty good but not amazing!
A good, easy-to-read AI book. Some good, grounded, practical application advice. That’s where the author should have left it. The architect scenario was pathetic and naive, and the final 4 future scenarios were rushed and trite.

interesting but not Revelatory
Those who receive the author’s email updates may be a bit disappointed with Mollick’s book, as its purpose is more cautious, as well as hyper-mindful of its potentially transient relevance, given the speed with which AI advancement is currently occurring. As a result of that reality, Mollick sticks primarily to the safer, less dynamic territory of considering the impacts of AIs on society rather than recent wonders in AI development and the yet more radical advances that may lie ahead. That said, a worthwhile and thoughtful work that helps readers benchmark themselves against where AI is today and inform them on where it may lead us in the future.

A really helpful guide to living and working with AI
I was recommended to read this book to see how to incorporate AI into work and daily life. Aspects of AI are quite scary and it is developing at an extremely rapid pace so I wanted to be able to have an informed conversation about it. I bought the Kindle version to experiment with a new way of summarising the book as I try to summarise the key poonts from all the reference books I read.Ethan has been researching and teaching using AI for a number of years in an American University. The book sets the scene in a helpful way before focusing on AI as a co-worker, a tutor and a coach. There are lots of stories and examples of how AI has been used. Key terms and concepts are clearly explained and the strenghts and weaknesses of AI are both covered. It has left me with four principles to work with as I engage with AI and some suggestions about how to engage with it which I have just started.AI is here, it will affect many aspects of our lives and this book is a very helpful way of exploring this and responding to it in an approriate way.

Basically fine
Written rather as if aimed at children rather than intelligent adults who might want to make sense of – and find effective uses for – generative AI, LLMs, etc., but interesting nonetheless. A perfectly reasonable few hours’ reading. There are undoubtedly much better books on the subject.

Brilliant insight for novices wanting to know what AI is and its potential impact on the workplace
A brilliant introduction to the transformative potential of artificial intelligence with simple to understand explanations of how it might be used in the workplace, in education and in general life. Great examples of its strengths and weaknesses as it stands and written in a style that is engaging for non-technical people to get an understanding of AI is. Makes you think about your own work and want to know more about how you might leverage it to your own benefit, in life and in work. Can't put it down!
