Caprock

Very well made roof rack and looks great on top of my car. Does take some time to put together. I didn't use the direction that came with the rack, they have a lot of good instruction videos on YouTube.

In July 2024, we will be embarking with friends on our 3rd annual camping trip to the Sequoia forest in central California. I researched and decided to purchase the Thule caprock size L for my 2020 Ford Explorer. I could not find any pictures of this roof rack on a Ford Explorer so I wasn't sure how it was going to fit. The fitment is better than I expected. I'd say it's nearly perfect. To test it, I transported a queen size bed and box spring to my family from LA to the desert on a 213 mile trip. I used retractable ratchet tie downs with eye bolts to strap them down and nothing moved! I drove at 65-68mph. The loudest noise came from the plastic wrap I had the mattress and box spring in when we had it stored. This thing is rock solid. I also used the caprock crossbar kit and love the height. I was worried it would sit high but it doesn't. These flat roof racks are on the more expensive side which could be a con but the quality and craftsmanship of the Thule caprock is impeccable. Highly recommend.

I chose this over the more traditional Thule Evo crossbars and couldn't be happier. There's more versatility with a platform and the mounting options are infinite. Used it on a recent trip to FL with a cargo box and I strapped a spare tire & storage tote to the platform as well. Looking to do a side-by-side setup in the future of a Yakima Skinny Warrior cargo basket and Thule cargo box.

Fantastic fit. Easy assembly and very sturdy. Does not seem to add noise when driving and doesn't seem to affect gas mileage. It's so well engineered that even the corner pieces are made of sturdy aluminum. Super strong! It is more expensive than others on the market but you really get what you pay for in this case. Highly recommended

I was stoked to take the Caprock Rack for a spin and it definitely exceeded my expectations. With its easy setup, sturdy construction, and sleek design, it seamlessly integrates into any rig. This rack is great for carrying more gear, easily accessing recovery gear, and mounting a rooftop tent or awning. The rack was a perfect complement to our Thule rooftop tent and having the additional spots to hold onto helped speed up the tent setup and takedown. The versatility and durability of the Caprock Rack make it an awesome addition to my car setup and I'm excited to continue finding more and more things I like about it.

前側コーナー部品と側面部品とをボルト固定する部分の構造が明らかに欠陥。締結側の平坦部品に乗せる台座がコの字となっており、ちょうど浮いてしまう箇所にボルト頭の端がくるためクラックが入る。後部側は締結側も台座側も平坦な面受け部品となっているため、前側部品設計者のチョンボと思われる。
