Straight From France Caffeine Free Instant Chicory Powder, Coffee Substitute Rich in Prebiotic Fibers, All Natural Coffee Alternative Made from Ground Chicory Roots 7 Oz

I first tried chicory "coffee" at a restaurant in Staten Island, a few months ago. I'd eaten chicory in protein bars and other foods, but never had it as a beverage. I rather liked it and decided to start buying some to make at home.As with coffee I make at home, instant is important to me. I found this and also another brand that uses a tea bag system. However, the tea bags have to steep for 5-7 minutes while this Straight From France product is really instant, in that it dissolves once hot water is poured over it.This is therefore very easy to prepare. I scoop some into a cup, add some date syrup, and pour boiling water over it. Then I add some milk. If I want some caffeine, I add a small amount of instant coffee.By itself, this product does have a slightly more bitter taste than instant coffee. But if you are okay with adding a little bit of sweetener, all of that gets neutralized. Then it is very pleasant-tasting. I also like this because it does not bother my stomach. And because it has no caffeine on its own, I can drink this later in the afternoon or evening.

Very soft taste and easy to disolve in water or milk. I mix it with my decaf coffee to make it stronger. It seems to help with digestión and can help to relieve inflammation. After 2 months this coffee has fixed any digestive issues that medications caused. I drink it after every meal.

This product was purchased by me to slowly replace coffee and hot chocolate for LPR issues. The taste of chicory is pleasant to me, as both my Grandmothers had Luzianne coffee till persuaded, perhaps, that it wasn’t a fashionable brand. It mixes instantaneously with water and is not at all bitter.

I was almost afraid to order this after seeing some people post that it was broken or caked. I took a chance and mine arrived in perfect shape. I'm so glad to find an entirely caffeine-free coffee substitute. When I drink decaf coffee and have multiple cups, it will still make my heart skippity-do-dah! I crave warm drinks in the cold seasons. It doesn't taste like coffee to me, but it has a very good flavor that I can fix up the same way I did coffee. I tried to upload a picture, but it wouldn't work for some reason.

I'm not tolerating coffee very well anymore. In the morning, especially when winter comes and I want something warm and comforting, tea or herbal tea just doesn't cut it. Cocoa is okay but has too many calories to have multiple cups in a day. If you are looking for something like I was, THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED. It's soooooo good, smooth and lovely, warming and comforting—a substantial and tasty cup of goodness that feels and you can treat just like coffee. Maybe even better because it isn't so acidic and chickory has many health benefits. And that jar is huge! It's even a good bargain. I love this product!Update: Chicory is also naturally high in the soluble fiber inulin, which can be good for gut health and fostering the growth of friendly gut bacteria. I genuinely enjoy and appreciate this excellent product, I'll be ordering my 4th jar soon!

Love the product. Instructions state an expiration of one month. I am the only user so won't use it all in one month. Can product be frozen? If so, how? Thanks
