Just replaced a 20yr old builder installed unit and, WoW, what a difference. This unit a pretty straightforward install. Nice to have the option of running the power through the back or top, by just choosing which knock-out. Attractive and simple. The LED light is adequate and will probably be a nightlight :) 2 speed fan works well, not too loud, especially compared to the old unit it replaced. Only recommendation I might have, would be a grommet included for the knockout. I was worried about the power cord dragging across the sharp edges while installing, but used electrical tape around the opening to protect the wires. Directions were ok, and can be interpreted fairly easily. Highly recommend!

Very nice item that is light weight and installs fairly easily. The fan is not quite as quiet as some, but for the money, this is a great value. I like the 3 speed fan and the two LED light option. Works well.

Needed something to replace my Over the range microwave as it had broken. Did not want to spend the money on another as I was never impressed with its ventilation fan + don't use the microwave much. I needed something that would mount under the cabinet and also would recirculate inside. There isn't any piping installed for outside venting (yet). Chose this Firegas hood model because it checks all the boxes. It filters the smoke and cooking fumes from cooking very well especially since I have it setup for inside recirculation. The LED lights are much brighter than I expected which I love. It comes with different ventilation attachments for various installation types. The activated carbon filter included is a nice bonus. Comes pre-wired for a 110 outlet. 300cfm is enough for my needs. The stainless looks sharp however be mindful to clean fingerprints and grease often. The fan is on the noisier side. Especially on speed 3/the highest mode but you'll never really need it as the suction is more than sufficient for ventilation on speeds 1 and 2. The only complaints I have are that the included instruction manual are a bit vague and the protective film tape was hard to peel off. Take your time and peel it off slowly and you'll be fine. It's been roughly over a month and so far, so good!

I love my stove cover. It was easy to install and makes my kitchen very stylish. The cover has great suction power and less noise reduction.

This is a nice two speed hood for over a stove. The two speeds work nice. The light is a bit on the dim side. It can vent out the back or top or even recirulate the air. I needed to vent out the back.The major drawback is that it does not have an enclosure to make the wire connections in. It has two knockouts to bring power to the underside of the hood. It has an insulated cord from the hood switches and light. There are no strain reliefs for the power cable coming in. There are no wirenuts to make the connection. I mounted a shallow metal box over the connections so they are enclosed. Strain relief added where the power cable comes from the wall. Added a second weather tight strain relief for bringing the wire from the hood into the box. Had to provide my own grounding screw as there was a place on the hood to attach ground but no screw in the packaging. Gather up strain reliefs, wire nuts, grounding screw, metal electrical box before you start!

My old vent hood in my old house was ugly to begin with but after I replaced the old range, it stood out even more. My newer range is bright white and this vent looks like it could have come with the range as a set. Looks so much better! I installed it myself. My old range hood was probably 30 or more years old and it was practically frozen in place, so getting it out was the worst part of the install. After that, the rest was easy. I know nothing about wiring so I asked others for advice. It turned out to be very easy. It works great and looks so nice and sleek. I'm really happy I chose this one.
