A great TV with only ONE easy software fix AND a gripe on moving buttons.
The picture is great and easy to setup. I had to knock one star off because of a minor software issue and a MAJOR button issue on the new remote. Overall it was worth the Prime Day Deal for $399 and I wish I had my friends buy them so I could buy the TV from them. Great product but here's the issues with this almost perfect tv.First, just like the XBOX ONE there NEEDS to be the capability to directly boot to TV (antenna tv) when powered on. This seems easy to fix with a software update. I don't like how you have to turn the tv on, hit down 5 menus to get to the input list and then press OK in order to get the antenna tv. I can't always "talk" to say "switch to tv" so I'd think just booting to antenna TV would be the best solution and then simply hit home to get to other Apps. I have a tv to watch tv first and foremost and then I'll go to Hulu or a Netflix if nothing is one "free tv". Give the user the capability to decide their own experience. Maybe let the user choose the boot up input. Maybe not just antenna but say you have an Xbox One on HDMI 1 and you want it to always boot to that when powered on.The other issue that I think was extremely overlooked is the back, home and menu buttons. These were always below the circle of up, down, left, right and ok buttons. In my 3 days of use I'm constantly hitting the rewind button thinking I'm hitting the back button. The rewind, pause/play and fast forward buttons are now Directly below the circle buttons. So then when I go to my Samsung TV that has the 4K Fire TV box, I have to once again reverse my thinking and the back button is back directly below the circle. i would think they should have kept the original button placement the same. But I guess I'll be buying a new Fire TV Edition TV remote for the Fire TV box. Hopefully it's compatible. In the end it's really a great TV and the best thing is, you only need a power outlet and an antenna to make this work. No more TV, plus Fire Stick or Apple TV or XBOX along with a Logitech Harmony Smart Remote PLUS all the power cords, HDMI cables AND Surge Protector for additional outlets to get it all working. This is the best one stop shop for any cord-cutting household with Alexa already present in the home. I'm hoping the 43 inchers have a Black Friday deal from $449 down to $249. I'll be purchasing a couple if that's the case.

Poor quality, at least this Amazon 55" TV
Amazon 55 inch fireTV first impressions...I received this TV July 3 2017 and here are my first impressions. If you are looking for a review of the features of this TV do not read on - this review is adding one star because of poor quality.I was very exited getting a new smart TV and I wanted to like this TV.The picture is decent, but nothing to write home about. The feet are a bit wobbly, even when the screws are tightened securely. On a positive note, the TV is lightweight and may not need the heavy duty stand I am used to from LG and Samsung, but wobbling is not acceptable.I wanted to like this TV, so I can probably live with that. The TV will not turn on or off unless the remote is held directly in front of the TV. In other words it lacks punch-through or the ON/OFF button is defective.THIS IS VERY ANNOYING.The TV and the remote subsequently went through an update proces. THE PROBLEM REMAINS.I may have to push the power button on the remote 3 to 8 times before it either turns ON or OFF. Long or short press, hard or soft press - the problem remains. Now, the TV will turn ON if I push the microphone button or the home button on the remote. To turn it OFF I then have to push the microphone button on the remote and say: "Turn TV off".This is a handicap I may be able to live with but guest can not as they will eventually look for the power plug and pull it out of the wall.WE CAN NOT LIVE WITH THAT.Yes, I did check the batteries, they both had 1.567 volt charge, so no problem here.I found the remote to work if it is held 3 to 4 feet directly in front of the TV and aimed directly at the center of the TV.Ask AlexaI asked: Update over the air channels...She responded: I am not sure how to help you with that!Maybe she is still learning. Then I asked: Update antenna channels...She responded: Your search did not match any videos or apps in our catalog.By the way, don't expect to use a USB-3 hard drive that is plugged into the USB-3 port on the TV to function if it is NTFS format. The TV can only read FAT32 formatted drives. FAT32 is from the 1995 time frame.Same problem with SD cards, the TV will not read NTFS.The TV is being returned, several of the other buttons stopped working

Great Box; Damaged Product
I was pretty excited at the opportunity to get a 4k tv on sale for $350.00. I was even more excited when it arrived much earlier than expected. When I got home from work, I made the mistake of taking down my old TV from the wall and taking off the mounting brackets. In most cases, this step is not an issue when installing a new TV...but, alas...Like other reviewers have reported, the new TV, which arrived in a lovely and perfectly undamaged box, had a cracked screen, scratches on the screen, and half of the top portion of the bevel disconnected. Unfortunately, it appears that Amazon may have partnered with a company (Element) that is not above putting damaged TVs in packaging and boxes and shipping them off to customers.I still love Amazon, but Element, not so much.

Great TV and Amazing value
Love this TV great for my kids in their play area. Tons of kids shows, love the voice Alexa search built into the remote. For the price its an excellant tv and has great picture, yes its not the quality of an OLED 4k, but you get what you pay for, and i think this tv is an amazing deal. Works great my Directv 4k receiver also.

PICTURE QUALITY???
Just got this tv. The picture seems to looks more like home video and not MOVIE picture quality. Is there a setting to correct this?

Worked well every day for six years.
This TV is easy to watch, and easy to hook up other devices. I have Apple TV and PlayStation hooked up. Netflix and Prime are easy to access. My hearing is starting to go, so when I’m alone I can put my ear buds in and hear it much better than with my hearings aids.
