This magnetic stirrer works great. I got it for $28 and that beats pretty much everything else available, plus it comes with LCD display and precise RPM speed sets. Can't ask for more. Well I guess if I could ask for more, it would be for the RPM to be live adjustable when its running. As it is now you have to click on RPM then spin dial to get to the RPM you want to try next, then click again. Seems it would be easier if that were just live adjustment. No big deal though. Another positive, I love the way it ramps up and down in speed.

The media could not be loaded. I love 99% of this magnetic 🧲 stirrer.No need to read the instructions, I figured it out in less than a minute.My last stirrer was an old school one, literally I used the same one in high school 30 years ago. They were built to last and it did but, it only had a knob that turned it on and adjusted the speed.The problem with that style is you have no idea what the RPM's are and if you wanted or needed to stir your _____ then you would need to have a timer handy.For less than the cost of many of the "Who knows what the RPM'S are" type of stirrer, you can get one of these beaties. Not only can you set the RPM's ( you actually have to,lol) but you can change them while it's on stirring.By far the biggest selling point for me was the timer. Making 30/70 vape juice, 150ml once or twice a week for the past month or so and there has been no change in how well it works.With me being me, I had to make sure that it would meet my needs the first thing I did was fill a 1 quart measuring glass all the way up to the 1000ml mark with straight VG (vegetable glycerin), of found my largest stir stick and set it to the max amount of time 2880 min AKA 2 days & set the speed to 2000 RPM's and let it do it's thing.Ten min shy of two days later and the constant 2000 RPM'S warmed the VG up enough that it was in full whirlpool mode, all the way to the bottom.That told me all I needed to know.Know I don't have to worry about forgetting to set a timer or falling asleep, only to awake to a 150 ml flask of vape juice that's reached over 95° F for hours on end, making it unusable.Anyways it gets my seal of approval, not that it means anything to you, so if you buy one and are disappointed by it and my review, I'll make the wager that if you're not happy & can figure out where I live, you can come by anytime and give me a good swift kick in the buns, sound fair to you? LOL, I promise you'll like it, of course there's bound to be a lemon or two sooner or later (Google Yugo if you would like to see a company that made more lemons than possibly anyone else) or when someone leaves a 1* review because it was damaged during shipping or something like that.Ignore all the haters, cuz hatrers are gonna hate and enjoy whatever it is you will be concocting with your new stirrer.Don't try mixing at that speed (in last pic with my hand holding onto it, that's because if I wasn't, the speed will push the flask very close to the edge, too scary for me to find out after the near spillage before.Also in the one pic you can see my juice is clear with a yellow tint and then in the next one it's completely opaque due to the billions on micro bubbles.

I have been testing this with water and the Stir Bar that comes with it, about 1" long, seems to work fine. But it will not work with my longer Stir Bars of 2" inches.Test have good speed control.I will be testing this week with a Beer Yeast Starter and will update this review after.First test with water ran for 8 hours, straight.Photo is of the first Yeast Starter. That is 3 qts in a gallon jug. This is with the included stir rod.---------------------------------------------First actual Yeast Starter completed:Stir worked very well for first 6-8 hours. Then as the solids decanted tot eh bottom of the glass jug, the Stir Rod could not coupe with mass and stopped spinning.This worked ok for the yeast only needed the first few hours to mix and oxygenate for growth.I am not sure any Stir Plate would be any better.I hope someone finds this helpful.

Bought this to make bulk liquid culture where sterility is important. Set for 5 minutes and adjustable speed for your needs. Has worked like a charm and is still going strong!
