I purchased this statue to be used as an urn. While it is hollow a hole will need to be drilled in the bottom. I tried doing this years ago for my black lab but a mistake was made so I didn’t take chances. Start with a small bit 1/16 - 1/8, increase to a larger size 5/32 - 3/16, and so on until you have a hole large enough for a small funnel. Just take your time and let the bits do the work (do NOT use self-pulling or spade bits). Insert funnel and fill with ashes. I pack cotton balls after the ashes to fill void and to create a buffer for the sealant. I use the expanding foam found at your local depot or Lowe’s. Don’t get carried by away, just enough to create a seal. Watch for over expansion, wipe away excess a set on a paper towel. Next morning, cut off the remaining excessive foam. I added a touch of white paint to closely resemble our pet. Let foam cure for a time before placing on any fine furniture or shelf. I measured the neck and purchased an appropriate collar and made a custom tag at the local Petsmart. Name on front and dob & dod on the reverse side. This statue is the exact one that sells for much more, the picture in the advertisement didn’t do it justice. I took a chance with the lower priced item and was extremely pleased with my decision. Hope this helps anyone considering doing the same.

Used this statue on the outside lawn. One side of the statue hasbecome white as the color faded totally from sun exposure.Have not had the product for 2 months. Total rip off.
